We enjoyed the Midnight Sun. Well-appointed rooms within in a historic building. The lobby decorations and framed old photos and captions added to our Dawson experience. Similar sights are found in the sister property, the Downtown Hotel. Be sure to take in the Sourtoe Cocktail festivities at the Downtown Saloon.

This hotel has no check in staff. Sign on the locked door of the hotel tells you to check in at the other hotel but doesnt tell you where this other hotel is located. 30 minutes later I have the key for my room. Room was clean and bed comfortable but an alarm ringing in the hotel lobby all night was annoying and the one vending machine was out of order. Im being generous to give this place 3 stars

Had a timely shuttle to and from the airport. Old constriction so could really hear people walking around upstairs. The room itself was fine and fairly clean. Not much in terms of amenities. Pretty bare in the "lobby" but had cool decor. There's also a night club on the bottom floor which can get quite loud and rowdy on the weekends. Luckily we were away that night for a tour but on Saturday night it was pretty loud until about midnight which you could definitely hear easily from our room. Overall we enjoyed our stay though.

Midnight Sun is a good hotel with modern rooms. We stayed 5 nights. Rooms are made up only on request. On three separate days, we asked for our room to be made up and it never was. Twice, a staff member showed up after 5:30 pm to clean our room after we had been out sight seeing all day. Since having the room cleaned so late, while we were in the room, we asked for fresh towels, etc. instead. Rooms where guests checked out were always cleaned immediately leaving guests staying another night without a cleaned room (repeatedly).

The check in was a little confusing but this hotel is part of the downtown coast hotel, so that is where you check in and get your room key. It's on the street behind the hotel and the check in staff was friendly. The amenities in the room were nice, a fridge, coffee maker, and usb outlets. I definitely needed the ear plugs they provided, I was in a room directly above the bar and they had live music that night. The bar and the lobby have the same decor, it's cute and the bar staff was nice and had good restaurant recommendations.

Considering the age of the facility it was pretty good. It was unique and a good reminder of how life used to be in Dawson City. The room was pretty clean but dusty, especially in the hallways, etc. I was disappointed in the amount of hot water available in my room. There wasn't enough for a shower, barely enough to get my face washed. I didn't report this to management so I don't know if this issue could have been corrected. Staff was in another building, so I had very little contact with them. Airport shuttle was available and on time for my arrival and departure.

It is an old building with lovely period furnishings on the main floor. The room was comfortable however didn’t have the same charm. I wish the curtains in the room were more room darkening. Visiting in June means many hours of daylight and less conducive to good sleep. I’d like the room darker Also the walls were thin and I could clearly hear conversations in the next room. Fortunately it was quiet in the evening. Otherwise a pleasant stay.
