  • Enjoy mountain views, abundant outdoor deck space, a gas fireplace, jacuzzi tub, a well-stocked kitchen and everything Canaan Valley has to offer from this stylish cabin within Black Bear Resort in Davis WV. The cabin is conveniently located between the areas ski resorts and the mountain towns of Davis and Thomas.
    Adventure awaits as you will be very close to Timberline Mountain, Canaan Valley Resort, Whitegrass ski touring center, Blackwater Falls State park, Canaan Valley Wildlife Refuge, Dolly Sods Wilderness, and all the areas hiking and mountain bike trails.
    In addition, Black Bear Resort offers a family friendly amenities for guests to enjoy including a seasonal pool, pickleball court, basketball court, fishing pond, firepit and more.

Beautiful cabin, great views even from the couch.David was a great host and ensured we had everything needed to make our stay comfortable and convenient. We look forward to returning to this cabin the next time we’re in Davis.

The house was adorable with a fantastic view. Lovely swing below the deck. House was the perfect location to enjoy the state parks as well as Dolly Sod. Very comfortable and relaxing.

We had a great time at the cabin. House was clean and well appointed. Had everything we could’ve possibly needed and more. Only complaint was that the upstairs bed “quacked” really loud when we laid on it and actually woke us up a couple of times. Other than that, it was perfect and would absolutely stay there again!!

My stay here was a wonderful reset during my business trip in Canaan Valley. I arrived to a clean & organized cabin with everything I needed, I was able to make breakfast without bringing my own utensils and enjoy it with a view. David was easy to communicate with. I highly recommend choosing to stay here while you’re in the area!

Cute cabin! Perfect for my girls and me. Wish the weather had been better to enjoy the resort. Housekeeping dropped the ball on a few things. After the storm the bedroom had a terrible odor and we didn’t sleep in there the second night.

We loved the new layout of your cabin. Very clean! The view from the deck was tremendous! The adirondak chairs were very comfortable. The seating in the living room was so comfortable I fell asleep. The weather was fantastic for hiking. The music at the Purple Fiddle was top notch. We were so happy that we didn't have to go to the office to check in and out. The instructions on the refrigerator were extremely clear and concise. My 78 year old husband went from being and looking sick to being and looking healthy and happy! That made me very happy. We hiked Bald Knob, Seneca Rocks, Black Water Falls boardwalk, and a hike in Dolly Sods Wilderness-very challenging. Glad we got away for a few days.
