"Just returned from a wonderful stay at Chez Mathilde near Verdun. Annie, our host, was absolutely lovely — so welcoming and friendly, and she even treated us to delicious homemade goodies. The house itself was amazing, full of character with beautiful traditional features and immaculate furnishings throughout. It really felt like a home away from home. The area is fantastic too, with so much history to explore, especially the WWI sites nearby. We’d highly recommend Chez Mathilde to anyone...

"Our stay at this beautiful holiday home was great! The terasse had a nice view and was great for relaxing. All rooms were really pretty and the beds were comfy. The house really is something special! The dishwasher was broken, but the host immediately sent someone to fix it, so there was no problem at all. The kitchen was very well equipped and we could really enjoy our time!"

"The gite was very well equipped and comfortable. Probably one of the best we have stayed in over many years. The surrounding countryside is variable, with flat plains , hills and lakes. If you are interested in Ww1 the preserved trenches in the area are the best I have seen. Verdun and Nancy, which are a short drive away, are both historical and picturesque."

"We stayed with our dog in Dannevoux from 27/12 - 01-01 to escape the fireworks in Holland and we had a perfect stay. The house has really everything you need; dishwasher, washing machine, fast wifi and a comfortable bed. The house is located in a quiet village with footpads leading into the countryside and woods. Verdun and other places of interest regarding WW1 are nearby. We would love to stay again!!"
