About this space
Enjoy the tranquil life as you relax in this beautiful home in one of the most stunning parks in D&G.
Nestled in the hills of the Solway Coast, the views are nothing less than incredible and is a real 'good for the soul' home from home.
The property is light and bright but cosy & weloming, well equipped for a comfortable stay and is the ideal base to explore all our gorgeous region has to offer.
Known for it's stunning scenery & woodland walks Kippford is the perfect Scottish destination!
The space
Solway Escape nestles comfortably in a highly sought after position in the hills above Kippford within Coastal Kippford Country Park an award winning holiday destination and one of the most beautiful parks in the region.
Sleeping up to 6 guests, it has the most enviable views across the hills of the Solway Coast and beyond.
The main living space is an open plan sitting room, kitchen and dining area which is both light & airy in the summer months and cosy and welcoming during winter.
The fully equipped kitchen means meal preparation is easy even for the most demanding chef!
After a long day exploring our gorgeous region, enjoy a cosy night relaxing in front of the TV or have fun with family games night, there's plenty of room for everyone in the spacious sitting area with comfortable sofas and armchairs.
From the sitting room, French doors open out to the large decking area with outdoor seating, the perfect spot to enjoy an early morning coffee or evening glass of wine whilst soaking in the views of the hills and countryside beyond.
The master bedroom has a super comfortable king size bed, plenty of storage and boasts an en-suite WC.
Bedroom 2 has twin beds with storage.
The main bathroom has a good size walk-in shower with vanity unit.
Guests 5 & 6 would sleep on the double sofa bed in the sitting room, which, is surprisingly comfortable!
Kippford is a beautiful and picturesque village which is often visited by the local people of Dumfries & Galloway itself. A popular sailing village, small yachts are often moored in the estuary and the Solway Yacht Club often holds sailing events.
Known as the 'Scottish Riviera' it boasts some of the most expensive properties in the region!
There are fantastic coastal and forest walking opportunities with the Kippford to Rockcliffe round trip taking around 1.5 to 2 hours and offers incredible views.
For Golfers there is Craigieknowes Golf Course, a scenic 9 hole, par 3 course or Colvend Golf course, both only minutes from the property.
In addition the championship grade links course at Southerness is only 20 minutes away.
Dumfries and Galloway is a cyclist’s paradise. You can Ride the Coast, Ride the Uplands, Ride the South Coast 200 or choose Day Rides.
Dalbeattie Forest is one of the 7stanes cycling trails and in all there are over 17km of cycling trails linking Dalbeattie to Colvend, Sandyhills and Kippford.
Kippford has two fantastic restaurants at local hotels The Mariner & The Anchor which offer a wide menu from traditional pub food to seafood specials.

* Keep the noise down between 10pm and 8am
* This is your home away from home, please care for it as such.
* Please make sure to lock the door and all the windows when leaving the property.
* Any damages/missing items/missing linen will be chargeable
* Please advise us at time of booking if you are bringing pets, there is an additional cleaning charge of £30 for pets, if not declared/paid for prior to your stay the fee will be charged after your departure.

The online verification requires a government-issued photo ID and a credit or debit card. During this process, you may choose between a refundable GBP 500 deposit (plus GBP 10 transaction fee currency equivalent) or purchase a non-refundable damage waiver of GBP 40 (currency equivalent) to cover potential damages during your stay.
Once the verification process is successfully completed, check-in information will be provided. If you opted in for a deposit, this will be refunded via credit/debit card after your stay, subject to an inspection of the property.
