Our stay was excellent. The hotel manager was so nice and helpful. We had to leave our luggage behind for 3 days. She even got our wet swim clothes dried and packed them and held onto our luggage safely. She packed breakfast for all of us for our early morning flights. We were well attended to. Would totally recommend this hotel to stay.

This is a cute little hotel about 10-15 mins walk from the city centre, in a quite neighborhood. Property is clean and well maintained. Rooms are very spacious and well decorated. Good breakfast: they have coffee cereals milk yoghurt cut fruits bread and 3 egg options to choose from. For early checkouts they even provide breakfast to go! Best part is the staff though. The front desk person is extremely accommodating and helps out in every way they can.

The staff were helpful and kindly let us store our bags while we explored the city. I also appreciated having hot water and learning that it’s heated with solar energy. A few things could be improved: the shower was only about five feet tall, so I couldn’t stand comfortably underneath it, and the grout needs a deep clean because it was discolored and had mildew. I also wish the staff spoke both Spanish and English, which would make communication easier for more guests. There didn’t seem to be many places nearby, although we did find somewhere to eat.

The service at La Posada de Atahualpa was exceptional! Very kind staff, the rooms were clean, and the property itself was beautiful for such a cheap price. Thank you to the wonderful staff at this charming inn!

The staff are so wonderful! The place is clean and fairly quiet. It does not have modern amenities as expected and toiketries lrovided is bare minimum: handsoap and body wash- that’s it. But still get more than what you are paying. I love the place and the staff so will likely use them again

Staff were friendly and helpful - although several of my tours happened at weird early hours and I did not always see desk staff around so I am not sure about the 24/7 detail. Aesthetically it’s charming and authentic, looks just like the photos. Some of my room and bathroom fixtures were a bit worn, but all fully functional. You’re not right in the center of town but it’s an easy walk — about 15 minutes mostly flat. I did not need to use taxis for any of my tourist activities (on arrival and departure because of luggage). Overall, I would say it’s a good value for the rate and would recommend booking here. Plus there was an adorable kitten at reception while I was staying!
