While the property itself is beautiful right on the lake, the house needs a lot of work. One of the doors from the kitchen to the backyard would not lock. One of the door handles on the back door fell off. The hot tub required someone to come fix it before it worked. The pool and the temperature of the pool room are both set to 80 per the owner’s preference, which in turn makes the pool feel very cold. The hot water tank is not adequately sized for the house so if you try to take a bath in one of the luxurious jetted tubs, you won’t get more than 3 inches of water before the hot water runs out. This is even if nobody has taken a shower and the washer and dishwasher have not been running. There are also just basic updates that need to be made. Nearly every outlet on the first floor and some on the second floor would not hold a plug because they are all too loose. There are pieces of trim and the upstairs master that are falling off. The recliner in the upstairs master is broken. There are no blinds or shades or curtains on any of the exterior doors to the home. Three bedrooms doors to the exterior. Two of them facing each other. Imagine my surprise when I realized that you could see straight across from my bedroom into the bedroom across the balcony. I only write this because these are all things that I wish I knew before booking my family vacation. We ended up leaving a day early.
