「We had a lovely short stay at Macbeth’s Hillock. The cottage was clean, cosy and comfortable, with everything we needed. We mainly stayed there overnight while travelling, but I also cooked dinner there, which worked very well. The location is peaceful, close to local sights, and right next to a farm with beautiful sheep, which made the stay feel even more charming. A very pleasant place for our short stay.」

「The room was luxury hotel standard with a small en-suite. There was another room with a microwave fridge crockery and tables and chairs and couches. All was luxury hotel standard. It was perfect for a 2 night stay but I could have stayed for months.,…」

「A gorgeous area to visit and the house was beautiful. Very clean and well maintained. Definitely a unique place to stay but one of my favorites. The hosts were both amazing and I hope to be back!」

「Property was completely unlocked and empty of people. Had to use posted number on unlocked door to contact an employee who showed up 15 minutes later. Was taken to a dirty unmade bedroom with old and mismatched furniture. Bathroom was 30 yards away with no toiletries and no mirror Water was luc warm. Carpet throughout the building was rhreadbare. After 20 minutes I decided to vacate the hotel due to watching a rat run down the hallway.」

「Rooms are all in upper floors 2nd or above, no elevator/lifts made it difficult for elders. The rooms are well maintained. Water pressure/hot water is an issue.」

「Optisch natürlich ein Hingucker. Man fühlt sich wie ein König. Mitarbeiter freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir hatten die Superior King Suite. Da versprachen die Bilder leider viel mehr als das Zimmer dann gehalten hat. Schon sehr alt, aber irgendwie doch ganz nett. Groß und geräumig. Matratzen waren sehr schlecht, da spürte man die Eisen vom Federkern gewaltig in den Rippen und Schultern. Frühstück war sehr gut, alles frisch zubereitet, teils Buffet, teils serviert. Lage ist superschön, ein kleiner...

「My single room on second floor was clean, comfortable and quiet....perfect for a good night's sleep. Hotel is well situated, just a 10 minute walk to the train station or a nip around the corner to the Nairn Museum. Breakfast was sufficient...partly self serve, partly hot; but staff was a little scarce so no second cup of coffee was to be found. No gluten free bread, but several GF cereals and plenty of other choices. If I am back that way again, I would rebook but stay for longer.」
