Enjoy time away from it all! Gather your family and friends at this secluded lakefront home. Beautiful views of the lake from the patio, the covered porch and the fire pit. Plenty of seating on both levels for everyone to sit outside. Propane fire pit table located on the upper level for your evening enjoyment. The wood fire pit is situated close to the lake. S'mores, anyone?!

You enter the home on the lower level where you have a family room with a 55" TV, dining area and pool table. There is also a bedroom and a bathroom with shower on this floor. Upstairs you will find the kitchen and living room as well as three other bedrooms and another full bath (with tub/shower). The washer/dryer is also tucked away in a closet in the upstairs bathroom. Enjoy the gas fireplace in the upstairs living room on chilly nights. A baby gate has been added at the top of the stairs to keep the little ones safe!

The 4 sleeping areas provide you with flexibility to fit everyone who comes to visit. The large upstairs bedroom (bunk room) faces the lake, walks out to the deck and has a TV.

The eat-in kitchen has everything you need to feel at home including a Keurig coffee maker, a drip coffee pot, electric griddle, dishwasher and a full-sized refrigerator. Grill up your favorites on the propane grill available for your use. Our welcome book has information on many local restaurants should you not want to prepare your meals every day.

Just a short walk to fun on the lake! Nolin Lake is known for great fishing. We have two single person kayaks and one stand-up paddle board available to use during your stay. Assorted life jackets are also provided.

Fall note: the Corps of Engineers begins the seasonal reduction in water level on 10/15. By 12/1, the lake will reach winter pool. Likely you cannot access the water at our dock after the end of October. The lake resumes full level again by mid-April.

With Mammoth Cave National Park nearby, be sure to reserve a cave tour! All the hiking trails in the park are also dog-friendly, providing you with lots of options to explore one of our nation's treasures. There are so many nearby attractions from Adventures of Mammoth Cave (zip lines, canoe/kayak rental, horseback riding and aerial challenge course), Blue Holler Off-road Park, Kentucky Down Under (Australian animal park with a cave - terrific for the younger crowd), many KY distilleries, the Corvette Museum, Lost River Cave and more!

We are pet friendly and welcome visitors that travel with their furry family members at no extra charge. Two dog crates are available for your use (sizes medium and extra large).

Our access roads are now paved which has improved durability through the seasons.

A little tricky to get to, but the instructions provided were clear and thorough so that wasnt even an issue. We had zero problems with our stay! It felt more like staying at a friend's cabin than a stuffy rental, in the best way. We enjoyed the balcony, the lake, and cozy game nights and other amenities graciously shared by the host. Many meals were prepared in the kitchen, which had nearly everything we could ask for. Our pup also had a blast, and we're so grateful we were able to take her along on our trip. We didn't have children in our group, but the cabin would have been great for them as well. Perfect for nature lovers, as we saw and heard all manner or critters throughout our stay.

Great family vacation spot!

Our family loved our stay here. It was a beautiful area and Nolin Lake was spectacular. We have already recommend this cabin to a family friend & we would love to book it again in the future!

Perfect get-a-way at Mammoth Cave

Home has everything you could possibly need, spacious, clean and cozy. Host responded quickly with all of our questions. Lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the lovely area. Highly recommend!.

Perfect winter getaway

We loved our time spent at Lake Tails! The house was perfect, clean & fully stocked with everything we needed. The layout was a perfect fit for our large family and allowed plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable. The hosts were great took, and quick to respond when we had questions. We would definitely stay again.

Cub Run stay

The check in process was super easy and the house was extremely clean and the kitchen well stocked. Our only issue was that we didn't have access to the kayaks because they aren't available this time of year and the marinas do not have boat rentals until mid April.

Great Hideaway

Perfect place for a long weekend! You are on the lake, pool table was really nice, and fire pit! Balcomy patio area for enjoying morning coffee and all of nature.

Great Mammoth Getaway

One of the best views and properties we’ve ever stayed at. Lots of things for kids and dogs to do. Outdoor area is just fantastic. Everything about the house was perfect. Kitchen was stocked with tools and other items more than most rentals! Loved our time here.

Beautiful!

We had a great time staying here while visiting Mammoth Caves and surrounding caves and activities. The location was perfect. The property and lake are beautiful. The firepit was really nice to enjoy at night.

Great stay!

This property was great for our extended family vacation- right on the lake with a private dock for our boat! The roads to the property were pretty narrow and winding to pull a truck with a boat behind it but we got it there. We enjoyed evenings hanging out on the porch and the kids loved the bunk beds. Great place- would rent again

Just as advertised

A lovely home right by the lake. Plenty of nearby trails to hike, and the water was right there. Lovely views. The home is extremely pet friendly with signs everywhere saying they welcome owners with pets. I left money on the table for the cleaning crew, and the owner reminded me that I had already paid that in my regular payment and they refunded the money.

Great spot on the lake

We (5 men) a work retreat at this lake house and it was great. The outdoor seating was exactly what we needed and the natural surroundings perfect for winding down and shutting out the noise. Loved the 2 fire pits and the short walk to the lake. A very relaxing and enjoyable time!

Mammoth Cave Tour

We traveled with our adult kids for a quick trip to see Mammoth Cave National Park. The house was just as advertised, and provided a warm and cozy place to stay on a very cold weekend. Kitchen was well stocked. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean. Driving directions were super helpful, and it was easy to find even at night with all the great signage. Thank you, Jim and Judy, for making it a home away from home.

Perfect spot for summer fun

The Lakeview Cabin is a beautiful rustic environment with all the amenities you need. A great game room that kept the teenagers happy when we weren't on the Lake swimming, boating or fishing. Most fun we have had in years. Can't wait to come back next year.

Tucked Away Gem!

This house is amazing! It was well stocked and very clean upon arrival. Hosts were great to work with; suggesting activities in the area for the us to explore with the kids. I highly recommend renting a boat from Wax Marina and exploring the lake for a day. The sunsets from the dock were beautiful and somthing we looked forward to each night. I would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic House on Nolin Lake

This was an awesome house in an awesome location. Lake frontage with outstanding views. House was very spacious and super clean. Beds were great. Everything really was perfect for our family vacation over the new year holiday weekend. I can imagine how great this place would be in the summer months. Highly recommend staying here.

Girls Weekend

We fell in love with the house and property. It is so beautiful and peaceful. The owners have thought of everything you will need! We will definitely book this house again! Hopefully in the summer time so we can take advantage of renting a boat and checking out the gigantic lake!

Fall Break Getaway

We absolutely loved this house. The size was perfect for our group of 4 adults and 6 kids. We just hung out, did a lot of fishing, hiked, and of course saw Mammoth Cave. The views were spectacular, and the upper deck was great to gather around. Only reason I gave the location 4 not 5 stars is that it is quite a ways back and up a steep hill...this was lovely for us, but may not be the best for others.

Beautiful Location!!!

This home is in a beautiful location. Getting to it was an adventure but a highly enjoyable one. Our group consisted of my daughter, her husband and 3 children ages 8, 6 and 3. The kids really enjoyed the bunkbed room. There was plenty of room for everyone. The home was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. It had everything we needed.

Beauriful location with easy lake access!

It was a beautiful home. The owners really outdid themselves with deckrating the entire home lake theme. It was quiet and somewhat secluded. Its anywhere from 15-30 minutes to geg to a store, deoending on what you beed, but InstaCart delivers!!! We soent nearly every day on the lake and made the best memories! We had 4 adults and kids from ages 4-16. Everyone had plenty of space and a great time!

Beautiful Large Cabin right on Lake Nolin

Beautiful location! Large Cabin with ample room and all the amenities for a great stay. Owners were very easy to communicate with and our dogs loved it too! We cooked in the large kitchen and sat around the campfire at night right on beautiful Lake Nolin! A large upper deck had a propane fire to sit around in the evenings. A big grill was available to cook steaks and hamburgers. The pool table was a nice addition and a late evening favorite. The internet was fast and had good range too. Close to Mammoth Cave which we visited several times. Quiet, serene and a very enjoyable stay. I loved the relaxing cabin. Highly recommended!
