We really enjoyed the cabin! Our family went for Thanksgiving and had a great time watching Christmas movies, playing games and being by the lake. I’m sure it would be very beautiful to stay in the summer!
The cabin is well equipped with dishes, silverware, wonderful bedding and cozy blankets! The master bedroom also has a rocking chair and two toddler beds, which is perfect for a family! We were very impressed with all the room for people to sleep and the living room fire place was wonderful! It also has a basement with a big tv and a washer and dryer, which is a huge plus for a big family! Definitely recommend this place, we would stay again!!
If you're seeking a peaceful retreat, this home offers a truly unique and remote location with an authentic cozy cabin vibe. We did encounter a few issues during our stay, but the hosts were reasonably responsive and helpful. Nearby, the town of Crosslake features excellent lakefront dining spots worth checking out.
We stayed here with friends from Minneapolis who we've known for the last decade but have since moved out of state. It was the perfect place to reunite with our kids and enjoy the peace and quiet of the lake and cabin area. I was so relieved it wasn't a busy lake and the kids loved swimming off the dock! Would definitely return!
The Stairs to both the upstairs and downstairs were both not to code and potentially hazardous and unpleasant to traverse. The main Dock is almost falling apart.Everything else was good
A great location / beautiful, quiet, peaceful, relaxing...a couple notes... NO WIFI, Locks were not reset...1 receptacle only worked in the main floor bedroom... no outside lighting worked.... many light bulbs in the house are not working! i would stay again if the above maintenance was taken care of!
We enjoyed our long weekend stay. The home is spacious and has everything in the kitchen you might need. The wifi is slow, however. Not a deal breaker though. Hope to return again.

Liked: Cleanliness, location
Disliked: Check-in
Directions to enter the house were incorrect, very confusing as the lock system was not the same as the instructions. We were unable to get in the cabin, went around to the back, the door into the basement was UNLOCKED. The cabin was cute but the stairs are EXTREMELY steep & narrow, the handrail was only held in the wall by 2 instead of 3 brackets as the bottom one was out of the wall. Fortunately nothing happened but I believe it should be disclosed in the description that the stairs are steep & narrow. The stairs going down to the basement we the same way. We did not use the basement at all aside from getting into the cabin initially through the unlocked door.

Disliked: Cleanliness, communication
Disappointment in management support
The cabin itself was nice, as described, and suited our needs well. Our disappointment was in the cleanliness of the kitchen area, no back up propane for the grill (which ran our of gas shortily after starting our meal), and most significantly the lack of response/support of the property manager.
Overall we enjoyed our stay! It was a great secluded area. It was peaceful and we had the whole lake to ourselves. Kids caught a lot of sunnies. Wasn't water for swimming, but was covered in lily pads that were blooming. was pretty cool to see. Took out the brand new kayaks and enjoyed that. My 11 year played countless hours of the TMNT game and darts. My cousin finished the whole puzzle that was provided in the cabin. Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms. Thanks for having sound machine in the bedroom because we forgot ours! Items that could have been better- living room furniture and basement furniture were pretty dirty. House wasn't as clean as it should have been. Inside stairs were very narrow for the older adults walking up and down. Didn't have a garbage can outside so we had to put trash on garage floor.
Pros: Comfortable property/great location/responsive hosts/lots of beds/ample towels. Cons: Needs some TLC.-Vacuuming up and downstairs and windows/sills and glass nds cleaning-Pans were greasy and oven was dirty with one burner out-Burnt out recessed bulbs up and downstairs, non working outlets in main floor bedroom, lose handrail on staircase-No dishwasher! (Did not notice this on VRBO posting)-Some dishes chipped and glassware cracked. -Limited paper products in kitchen (paper towel and trash bags only). Bring your own Saran Wrap/tin foil/paper plates/napkins/utinsils-Upstairs staircase is narrow and steep and “hatch door” to lower level may be difficult to navigate for some. -Water pressure in upstairs sink and shower is slow so be patient
