They said there was no breakfast or lunch available upon check in, but then changed their story after a day or two. Unfortunately the nearest restaurant was 30 miles away. We were far out in the boondocks and had to drive to Marsh Harbor to eat. We were the only guests in this hotel. The food was good once we discovered it was actually fully available days later. There was NO beach access nearby. We checked out after two days and relocated to Marsh Harbor. Although the hotel had a two day Cx policy, Expedia refused to honor that arrangement and charged us for three days even though the hotel management agreed to only charge us for two days. Expedia had some cockamamy excuse that they couldn't contact the hotel. I won’t be using Expedia anytime soon.

I had an excellent experience at the Sandpiper Inn. This place is very peaceful and perfect for relaxation. The chef and staff were very helpful! I would definitely recommend or stay again when I return.

This is a great spot for a remote vacation. The room is lovely and the breezes are amazing. It is exceptionally quiet and remote. We definitely appreciated Chef and his kindness. Food was great!

We had such an enjoyable stay here. It’s very quiet and secluded so you will need a car if you want to get out around the island, however the place the Inn is in is absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking views and a very secluded beach. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the food is delicious. Highly recommend!

Great small friendly hotel

Excellent room in a small hotel. The hotel was actually closed, but opened especially for us to honour our booking. The staff were superb and looked after us very well.

Service was excellent. Caretaker was welcoming and made us feel comfortable. Dining experience was excellent. Their chef is a gem. Lunch, dinner, and breakfast were flavorful and lovely presentation. The beaches were spectacular. The location is a hidden gem.

Great Place to Unwind

Located in the quiet residential community of Schooner Bay 27 miles south of Marsh Harbor, this inn is a haven for future incoming residents and visitors to Abaco. The accommodations and chef are first class and we immediately were catered to in every way. A rental car is a must.

A Hidden Gem

What a beautiful place! We were pleasantly surprised and impressed with The Sandpiper Inn. Located a short walk from the most beautiful sandy beach we’ve seen and on the other side, crashing waves and a pretty beach full of conch shells and sea remnants. Our meals were truly delicious, 5 star quality food prepared beautifully. We would love to return!

Tranquility Defined

If you are looking for a "get away from it all" peaceful vacation with walks on a quiet beach and swimming in the ocean this is the place for you! The service was outstanding and the staff were extremely attentive. The food was prepared to prefection and we enjoyed the local cuisine. Renting a car is a must if you want to explore outside of Schnooner Bay Village. Although there is internet, bring your own entertainment as it is truly an unplugged experience. We spent an entire week there and loved it, very relaxing!

The Hibiscus Suite was spacious, modern, pristine, and well appointed. Setting is idyllic, short walk to 2 beautiful beaches. Staff was gracious and helpful. Chef's creations were amazing and delicious. For us, perfection. Be aware, location is 30 miles south of Marsh Harbor and remote =very peaceful and quiet! Many stairs to our room (not a problem for us) but other rooms and cottages are on the ground floor. No TV, phone, or minibar in room (full bar downstairs!) but plenty of beautiful, serene nature to enjoy.

300 a night with no television, and no internet

This was a terrible stay. 300 a night with no television in room, no internet (technically has internet but poor and non existent), cell servicr is terrible in area sonyou cant use your cell either. And to top all that off when we bought breakfast one morning a lady told us we cant eat our food in the room. Utterly ridiculous!

The Sandpiper is unlike any property I’ve ever stayed at before. It’s about 45 minutes from the Marsh Harbor airport, down a very lonely Great Abaco Highway. It is part of a recently built community that has a great deal of empty, yet to be sold homes. This makes for a very quiet experience, with the nearby beach and trails all being empty. Nearby Crossing Rocks provides very merger dining options so we relied on the Sandpiper for almost all meals. The chef is fantastic. The meals he prepared for us were a definite highlight. Besides preparing meals Chef was helpful anytime he was around. He made sure to have bicycles ready for us and helped out when our rental car had a flat. The innkeeper was also great. She keeps the property tidy and was our server for dinner. She arranged a rental car for us to explore the island. The only downside was a lack of Wi-Fi in the rooms where we stayed. The Wi-Fi within the main building worked great, though. If you are looking for a place away from the destruction and action of North Abaco, with basically a private beach, give this place a try.

Stayed for 5 nights and 6 days. The chef was amazing! The room had a view! Close to the beach as well! our food was delicious every meal! The chef taught us how to pick and open up coconuts, he even surprised us on our last morning with chilled fresh coconuts to drink. It was a perfect send off! We will make sure to come back in the future. I recommend this place, be okay with no Wi-Fi! Enjoy your stay!

This property is located in a beautiful setting. The plantation style setting and rooms were very comfortable with a harbor or ocean view. The food was delicious. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. We loved to walk the trails and beautiful beaches. One access to the beach had paddle boards and kayaks for your usage. This is a place to enjoy the stunning setting and nature.

This is a great old style Inn if you’re looking for a place to unwind. It’s part of a gated community focused on fishing. You need a car to get around but there is a beach within walking distance. The restaurant was the best part of the resort as our dinners were really wonderful and the staff were very nice. There are no tv’s, which we didn’t mind and no mini fridge in the rooms, which we would have liked.
