The host was very helpful with all my inquiries and was clear and straight to the point on check in and check out. Everything you could possibly need to use while staying here is in this house. "We were two families, French and Scottish, we all had a great time! The location is beautiful, the house was full of unique qualities… the servants bells caused a lot of amusement. Full of character and history. Excellent place for larger groups. Excellent communication regarding keys etc.Had a wonderful lunch at Tayvallin..about 20 minutes away… delicious seafood! No complaints about the house, location or our hosts!! Recommend this lovely house and place! "

"We all had a great time during our stay at this lovely, peaceful cottage. The cottage was a little further off the main road than expected but this added to its charm. We organized our food shopping early on in the week and spent our evenings relaxing in the cottage looking at the spectacular views from most rooms. We did lots of walking and climbing and it was a pleasure to come back to this warm, cosy cottage at the end of the day."

"Although I filled in a questionnaire and handed it in at Melfort Village reception when I left I have completed this one as well because I really enjoyed my week there.The weather was lovely and the views to die for. My friends and I had a day on Luing with lunch at the Atlantic Islands Centre which was excellent. Disappointing that the Shower of Herring was closed from Monday.My only complaint was that when I arrived on Saturday Sept.14th in torrential rain and gales there was no heating on...
