  • "Can Nas de Gos" is a charming renewed stone cottage set in three hectareas of private woodland and meadows., the perfect retreat for peaceful holiday surrounded by nature. There is a swimming pool, 6 metres by 3 metres ideal for relaxing on warm summer days. The area offers miles of quiet country lanes, perfect for walking, cycling or the possibility of horse riding nearby. Crespia is the little village 2km away in a walking distance along nice lanes with an excellent bar and restaurant.

    From its rural setting the cottage is located near the beautiful Banyoles lake , perfect for swimmimg and lakeside strolls . The historic cit y of Girona, known for the setting of the film Game of Thrones, is just 40 minutes away, 45 minutes from sea side resorts like La Escala or Estartit in Costa Brava. Nice sandy beaches with excellent sea food restaurants. Figueres with its Dali museum is 14 km away and Barcelona with the Sagrada Familia almost finished is around one hour by car.
    A wonderful place for families to relax, explore both the countryside and the coast.

Wonderfull holiday home on a private terrain. Great base to explore the region: coastal villages and beaches, Girona, Figueres with its Dali museum, Besalu, Banyoles,... all within 45 minutes by car. For peace and quiet in the typical Catalan surroundings you don't even have to leave the property: the swimming pool on the forested terrain is an absolute plus. Helen and Joan very available without any intrusion at all, even though they have their own house about 100m away. Ideal for a family vacation in Catalonia!

Paradise!

We stayed here for a week and we loved it! Especially the pool and the huge garden. My kids (14, 10 and 7) allready asked if we could go back next year. The location is also good to explore the area. We went to see some coastal villages, Girona and went to Barcelona for a day. I would really recommend this place if you're looking for peace and quiet.

September stay in Crespia

The hosts Helen and Joan are lovely and very helpful. This is a great location for exploring this lovely area. The swimming pool was great for a dip and the cottage is as described. Very peaceful and rural. We took a few days to adjust as it is rustic and local mossies liked to bite us! Fab restaurant La Trobada a few mins away and lovely walks nearby through Walnut orchards. Figueres(Dali Museum) and Costa Brava short drives away. We loved swimming in Banyoles lake. Go to Platya de La Rovina if you have dogs. Fine dining at La Tartana..

eine Schöne Auszeit mit der Familie

Can Nas de Gos ist perfekt für eine Familienauszeit. Die Lage ist ruhig und gleichzeitig kommt man ziemlich schnell nach Girona, Figueres und weitere wunderschöne benachbarten Städte. Wir waren auch mehrmals in Costa Brava und die wunderschöne Strände zu genießen. Helen war eine wirklich wunderbare Gastgeberin. Sie hat uns immer wieder Tipps gegeben und nachgefragt ob alles in Ordnung war. Unsere Kinder haben den Pool und die Freie total genossen. Die zwei süßen Schafen Blacky und Sporty sind ab und an vorbeigekommen um Nahrung zu suchen. Das was für unsere Kinder (5 und 3 Jahren alt) sehr schön. Can Nas de Gos ist sehr zu empfehlen, besonders für Familien mit kleinen Kindern.

The perfect getaway

My husband and I, along with our four dogs, had an utterly delightful time staying at Can Nas de Gos last week. Terry and Gloria were wonderful hosts, welcoming and warm, happy to chat but also very respectful of our privacy. The house was larger than I expected from the photos (I've found in the past that pictures can make a tiny space look far larger than it is), so we were pleasantly surprised by that. We found it very comfortable and, as it was cooler once the sun went down, enjoyed sitting in front of the open fire in the evening to read our books. During the day, we explored the numerous and varied walks around the area. Some are accessible from the door, but there are many others just a few minutes' drive away. We would love to return for more "getting away from it all" in the future. I can't recommend this property highly enough for others who enjoy the tranquility of nature.

Parfait... A un détail près!

Nous avons découvert ce que nous cherchions depuis longtemps: le calme, l'isolement, dans un grand parc, une maison rustique, avec les avantages et les défauts que cela comporte, une petite piscine délassante et rafraichissante, un environnement riche en lieux de visites... Parfait, donc, sauf: Nous avions réservé deux semaines, de dimanche à dimanche. Par la suite, la propriétaire nous a proposé de rester un jour de plus, donc jusqu'au lundi. Ravis, nous avons accepté avec reconnaissance! Mais à la fin du séjour, le samedi midi, nous avons reçu un SMS lapidaire: "Ah je me suis trompé vous partez le dimanche demain. Alors je serais là pour vous dire au revoir. A demain." Stupéfaits, nous la contactons en retour par SMS, lui rappelant sa promesse, sans réponse. Un autre SMS, un appel téléphonique, toujours rien. Très déçus, nous nous résignons à faire nos valises pour un départ le dimanche matin, conformément au contrat initial. Le retour étant prévu avec une étape, nous devons annuler notre réservation du lundi soir et en trouver une nouvelle pour le dimanche soir. A 20 heures, nous recevons un autre SMS: "avez vous reçu mon message?" sans autre précision ni référence au notre. Et nous quittons le gîte, comme prévu par le contrat, à 10 heures le dimanche, amers et déçus, sans avoir vu quelqu'un. Ceci a terni la bonne impression que nous avions eue!

Out family visit to Can Nas de Gos

We visited the cabin for nearly one week this summer, with the hope to disconnect from big city and work. For our kids, the most important thing is always the pool, so we chose this cabin specially for that reason. Sadly for us, we had the hottest week in the year with a temperature of 38 to 42 °C and no clouds. Therefore, we could only use the pool in the morning and the evening, when the sun was not so strong. But the pool was absolutely amazing and it is always best to not having to share it with more people. The garden is very big and beautiful, sadly for us the times we were outside we spent in the pool. The high temperatures kept on during nights and the cabin has only ceiling ventilators, no A/C. But with daily trips to the coast, we managed to cool down a bit in the Mediterranean. In this zone is not that much to see, only a few smaller cities. For more, you have to drive about 30 minutes at least. So yes, to get there AND go for groceries and trips, you definitely NEED a car. It is not possible to grill in the garden, the whole region is banned for outside grilling due to danger of fire. And the house has no laundry machine. Last but definitely not least, the drinking water comes from a well. As the water levels in the ground vary during seasons, so does the quality of the water. We were informed on site, that the drinking water was no good to drink and we had to buy water or refill bottles in the town nearby. This is not acceptable, specially in the summer!

Das Haus liegt abgeschieden im Wald. Eine tolle Umgebung. Viele schöne Städte sind als Tagesausflug von dort leicht erreichbar und am Abend kehrt man in die wunderbare Ruhe zurück. Das Haus ist nett eingerichtet, sehr sauber, die Ausstattung ist gut und die Vermieterin sehr hilfsbereit, offen und nett. Sie gibt viele Tipps für die Umgebung. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

A vacation with plenty of peace and relaxationIf you're looking for a vacation with plenty of peace and quiet, Helen and Juan (?) are the perfect place. The holiday home is secluded in a small forest.The holiday home is simply furnished, but you'll find everything you need. The house is largely self-sufficient; electricity comes from solar panels, and the water comes from a well, which is why the tap water isn't necessarily drinkable.The house is equipped with ceiling fans in the bedrooms and dining area. The absolute highlight for our children and us, however, was the pool, which was for our exclusive use.Helen and Juan are wonderful, attentive hosts. They were always helpful with questions and gave good tips for excursions and restaurants.

Schöner Urlaub in Katalonien in der Natur

Wir haben mit den Kindern drei Wochen in dem Häuschen verbracht. Es war alles da, was man brauchte. Im Garten war viel Platz zum Spielen für die Kinder und der Pool war auch super bei der Wärme. Die Gastgeber haben sich sehr gut um uns gekümmert und waren bei Fragen immer gerne bereit uns zu helfen. Wir hatten eine wirklich gute Zeit in dieser schönen Gegend.

Ideal für Ruhe und Einsamkeit

Zunächst mal war das Objekt etwas schwer zu finden, weil der Zufahrtsweg ohne Hinweisschild in den Wald führt. Aber dann war die Begrüßung sehr herzlich. Terry ist wirklich ein überaus liebenswerter und zuvorkommender Vermieter. Allerdings ist das Objekt eher für die wärmere Jahreszeit geeignet. Mitte Januar gibt es wenig Sonne und das Haus ist sehr klamm und modrig. Die Beheizung mittels Gasöfen ist auch etwas umständlich und schlecht zu regulieren. Dafür wird es im Sommer wohl angenehm kühl sein. Durch die Lage für Ruhesuchende oder Familien mit Kindern überaus geeignet.
