The room was clean and spacious, but unfortunately the bedding had stains, and the toilet, bathroom, and floors were not cleaned. The bath drain was also blocked, something the hotel already seems aware of, as I later saw similar complaints in online reviews. It was disappointing to realise we had been given a room with an issue that had clearly been reported before. The staff were also quite unfriendly and unwelcoming. There was little to no greeting, and even when I tried to be polite and engaging, the response was very cold. The only positive aspect of this hotel is its close proximity to Gatwick Airport and Purple Parking. Aside from that, the experience was very poor. Unfortunately, I would not choose to stay here again.

Parking felt safe, covered by cctv. Staff were very welcoming and accomodating. Room was spacious and clean....carpet was the cleanest i've seen in a hotel room. Room had central heating, in room fridge, and hair dryer. Plenty of storage options and portable clothes rail. Staying here felt like home. Can hear flights taking off from gatwick... runway is across the road and you can see the tails of planes... but you soon filter it out. Overall, id recommend staying here

Great location, very friendly staff. The shower in my room was not sealed and leaked but it was fixed after I left. Good breakfasts. I will be back!

The staff is always very helpful. I was given an upgrade which I really appreciated. The room was clean and had everything I needed. Breakfast was adequate and a variety of choice. Thanks to the whole team. I will definitely be back!

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I was upgraded to a lovely room which was clean, quiet and comfortable. Although I had a taxi pick me up just before 6am the staff member on the desk made me a quick cup of coffee. Thanks to you all!

A great stay at this little hotel. We just needed somewhere to rest our heads after a long flight and this place didn’t disappoint. It was literally somewhere to sleep so we didn’t take advantage of the breakfast, but because I was a VIP member through Hotels.com, we did get two small bottles of wine as a complimentary gift. Great little place if you are looking for somewhere to stay close to Gatwick Airport.

This hotel is super convenient for Gatwick Airport. It’s a bit basic but does everything you need it to do. The hotel is situated right near the runway - exactly where airplanes power up for takeoff. That coupled with thin walls means it’s not for light sleepers! However, breakfast was brilliant. Cooked-to-order Full English and continental options. Room was clean and basic.

You could not be closer to the airport without being in an on-airport hotel at double the price, so especially if you have a rental car to return anyway, this is the place to stay. I've stayed in a few Gatwick area hotels, some large, some small, some in airport and some in town. This is the only independent hotel I'd return to: it's clean, the staff are super efficient and genuinely friendly, the rooms recently renovated. Yes, it's close to the runway so you'll hear the planes in the morning (but not overnight, there are few flights), otherwise dark and quiet. It said 'free parking', note that is only for first night. Breakfast by small hotel standards was excellent, and happened to be included in our rate. Choice of cooked items selected on check-in, plus yogurt toast good croissants juice and solid coffee choice. And for those from North America, this is an older building with lots of ups and downs and stairs and corners and small bathrooms and odd-shaped rooms - basically it's got character that a chain never could. An extra lamp or two and a couple of paintings and it could be fancy, but then it would cost more. All in all an excellent find! If it's not full next time I'm through I would definitely stay there again.

Perfect for an overnight stay if you’re at the airport. £30 taxi to airport , or £10 taxi to station in town station Three Bridges. Self service laundry on site could be a big asset!

This property was not as advertised in the photos. We were put in a small steel hut that reeked of chlorine/beach. I usually don’t write bad reviews but this stay was pretty miserable overnight. The Uber from Gatwick was $35 and farther away than expected. There is no country charm like the photos. Had to sleep with the windows open due to the overpowering chemical smell and was cold all night. Radiator didn’t work. Bathroom was so small you could not move around. Not worth it.

Arrived a little late and we were greeted with info for our stay.Offered a free beverage and asked for the time we would want breakfast. Comfy ,cosy beds.Tea and coffee provided and biscuits in the room.Only little complaint if you are a light sleeper,planes take off from 5 30am.Great stay lovely staff
