Crawford’s Mountain View Getaway

Enjoy a stunning Rocky Mountain View of Needle Rock and the Pitkin Range. The space has many amenities for 1 to 12 people. Families, hunters, couples, all are welcome to enjoy the indoor/outdoor private areas with their rustic southwest decor in the lower level walkout. 1.5 miles from the "last genuine cowtown" Crawford, CO, (you might see a cattle drive going through town), 1 mile from the Crawford Lake, 11 miles to Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park.

The space
The Apartment is a private apartment in the hosts house. Guests have exclusive use the the large covered patio area as well. It has a large bedroom with a California King bed and a double hide a bed sofa that would work for two children but is a typical hide a bed. The second bedroom has a two double bed. The great room has two double sized futons, that some groups have used for double sleeping but certainly work well for one, a pool table, foos ball table, 4-8 seat dining table, internet based tv and full kitchen. We have had many larger groups and welcome them but the space only has one bathroom. The kitchen has a full size fridge, double sink, stove and oven and many IKEA type amenities, cookware, microwave, slow cooker, toaster, dishes, utensils, coffee, tea, some basic condiments and spices.
We have internet based television, Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.
We have games, baby toys, children's books and a pack n play, please let us know what you would like put in the space.
Enjoy the many hiking/biking trails in the area. This area is extremely scenic and very popular with car clubs, motorcycle clubs, and bicycles as well as hikers and photographers. The hostess loves to cook and bake and likes to leave a welcoming surprise.
The linens for the futons are in the closet. And we keep a few necessities in the medicine closet in case you forget something.
If you are a couple and plan to share the one bedroom, you can book as 1 person and save the $10 a night but please let us know in the messages who the other person is thanks so very much.
Guest access
Guests are welcome to enjoy any part of our 4 acer lot but the lower level and underdeck patio are all yours for your stay. Easy self check in and out with a keybox.
Other things to note
The nearest small grocery store is about 17 minutes away in Hotchkiss. This is on the way from Delta or Glenwood Springs. You may want to pick up groceries in Gunnison or Montrose if you are coming via HWY 92 over the Blue Mesa Dam or in Glenwood Springs or Delta if you want a larger store.
We are PET FRIENDLY but do require an extra $35 cleaning fee for approved pets. Pets are never to be left alone in the space.

Covid Cleaning

Our normal routine is well above the Colorado Hospitality laws.
I was raised in a Dutch community where laundry polls, driveways and sidewalks were washed with soap and water twice a week. My parents owned hotels in three states. I have long known how to clean.
Currently we begin by spraying the keypad and door handle with Soluguard an approved for Covid19 by the CDC disinfectant. (Details in our pics).
We wait ten minutes. Enter leaving the door open and begin spraying everything with Soluguard leaving doors and windows open as we can.
We collect any thing that can be laundered so we can give them time in a trash bag with Soluguard before we even begin to wash them. We have multiples of all items to make this possible. We leave and let the Soluguard have time to work on mattresses, couches, light switches handles Most of these first measures are for our protection.
When we return with clean linens we feel safe to do our standard cleaning which always includes wiping light switches and handles with Soluguard. Pillows and such that do not wash well can be put in the dryer with wool balls that have essential oils in them and heated to over 133 degrees. We can test the surface with a laser thermometer.
Before we leave we have been doing a final misting of carpets, furniture etc with Soluguard one more time.
I believe we are only as strong as our weakest link in fighting Covid19. I do not want to be the weak link.
