"Logement loué dans le cadre de la Velo Francette. Logement très propre et literie confortable au rez de chaussée d’une maison salle de bain refaite à neige agréable. Attention à bien regarder le trajet avant d’arriver à vélo (nationale très dangereuse avec des enfants nous aurions aimé être informés) pas d’emplacement spécial sécurisé pour les vélos et réveillés tôt le matin par les travaux du jardin. Pour le reste nous avons très bien dormi!"

"we had a lovely stay, the house is very cosy and clean and the garden is heavenly! We truly felt like kings in our little castle."

"When we arrived no one was there. We found out 1 door was open. The house was not clean, sticky floors, dirty tablecloth and dust nets every where. Even in the shower. 2 days later we met someone, when we told her about the state of the house she reacted a little bit annoyed. The house is situated beautifully in a quiet environment. There is no washing machine and no WiFi. Maybe something to think about in the future. We spent a week at the house and had a good time. It is a pitty the house...

He has built the property with his own hands & has done an incredible job. The area is beyond beautiful, absolutely spotless clean & nearby some beautiful locations. "Je séjourne régulièrement au Campanile de Sablé-sur-Sarthe dans le cadre de mes déplacements professionnels. L’accueil est toujours chaleureux, familial. Mention spéciale au personnel, toujours souriant, disponible et à l’écoute. C’est un point de chute fiable et agréable pour les voyageurs fréquents. Le restaurant sur place est une belle surprise : cuisine simple mais savoureuse, avec des buffets bien garnis. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et varié, parfait pour démarrer la journée."

"Our night at the Chateau had to be the single most memorable night of our trip. I loved it; my other half was a bit freaked by it all. The property is a long way from anywhere down a stone road. The wildlife is incredible (I’ve never heard an all-night frog chorus before and the deer roam freely through the meadows). It is basically a private house offering rooms and a basic breakfast- not a hotel… it’s very much like taking an Air BnB room. The owner is a character but speaks virtually no English- this isn’t for you if you’re not able to get by in French. The house is unique, and speaks of grandeur in the way that old piles do. It felt like spending the night in a National Trust Manor House before they’ve done it up. If you want a night in deepest Anjou where you’re left to yourself to explore a chateau and can sit drinking wine under a tree with a cat purring on your lap, this is worth a go. If you’ve got young kids, you can’t speak much French or have mobility issues (there’s a spiral staircase), stay somewhere else. "

"Hired the chateau with 30 friends who have not seen each other in a long time. This was one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed at; I honestly never thought I'd stay somewhere as grand. The communication was great and the photos don't do it justice. All the rooms are ensuite and there's a lot of social space for everyone. The hardest bit was getting everyone together in one place! Thank you for a lovely stay :)"
