I took this photo in Messinia, Greece in summer 2016. It's of Voidokilia Beach and it's surroundings. Voidokilia Beach is on the Peloponnese peninsula and it was the most picturesque beach that I visited during that Greek trip, which was almost exclusively in Messinia. On that mountain is Nestor's Cave and above this are the ruins of a 13th-century Frankish castle (Old Navarino or Palaiokastro). Look closely and you will see :). I didn't get to walk up there. It was brutally hot that day and I spent most of the time at the beach. But, I did make time for some hiking. Near where I took this photo there was a lot of medieval or ancient ruins. Near those beautiful rocks. I had to be careful when walking on them, but it was worth it!

「A beautiful tranquil place to stay with lovely olive tree garden and a small peaceful pool area with glimpse of the sea. Apartment felt like home, very clean, kitchen had all you need to self cater, comfy bed, door screens, electric blackout shutters, coffee machine, pool towels, washing machine. 「Beautiful hilltop hotel. Off the beaten path with a great view of the town below. Pool was nice and had a bar to get drinks and snacks at. Senior suite had two bedrooms, living room, small dining area and small kitchen area. Town was a quick drive down the hill or a 15 minute walk. Town offered many options for dinner and shopping. Dinner at Elena Taverna was amazing. Highly recommend it. Buffet breakfast was very good. Many different breakfast foods to chose from. You won’t go hungry!」

「Check in was seamless with a phone call and WhatsApp message. The room was great, clean and spacious. The bed is very comfortable . Location is excellent, only a few steps from the main square restaurants and a short stroll to the harbour. On a very minor note, some extra coat hangers in the wardrobe would be great.
