The Hotel 3K Barcelona was an okay stay. We stayed there twice during or visit to Portugal, a 1-night stay and then later in the week a 2-night stay. Check-in was a bit of a bummer. We did arrived a couple hours early and our room was not ready; understandly, and we didn't mind waiting. They do store your luggage if you want to explore the city while you wait, wo we did. Unfortunately, there was no flexibility with early check-in at all. When we returned to the hotel and about 10 mins before check-in they still said our room wasn't ready, but, 10 mins later our room was ready. The bar in the lobby was technically open while we waited but there was no one around working the bar. The first room we stayed in was a newly renovated room on the first floor with a patio. The room was nice and clean. The second room was not renovated and showed its age, including the refrigerator. Also, not a lot accessible outlets for charging devices. Most of the outlets were behind the beds and the desks and we had to unplug lamps in order to use them. The breakfeast was ok. Not a lot of options and quite small. Too bad the restaurant is only open for breakfeast as it does not offer a dinner option.

Awesome hillside apartments. Fabulous views of Alfama. Friendly staff. Quirky building set-up with hallways and elevators and stairs due to hillside location. Not for mobility challenged guests.

Took the ferry and a bus to get there, (take express bus, the other one made dozens of stops). Beach lovely, take small train back for 5 euros.
