"The Hatfield Hotel in Lowestoft is a lovely comfortable hotel to choose. Rooms are quite spacious and clean. Some have love sea views. The bar and restaurant have sea views also. There is a good size outside area to eat, drink and look out over the sea Food is good.too. Breakfast buffet and hot food menu also Friendly and helpful staff."

"What more can we say? From the minute we walked into the hotel, the receptionist was lovely, helpful, and explained everything to us. She even took us to our room and showed us where everything was. We had requested extra pillows and fans, and they were already there waiting for us. The room was clean, tidy, spacious, and had all the amenities we needed. We decided to dine in the restaurant and were shown straight to our table. We explained that my wife is dairy-free, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was enjoyable and stress-free. The food was excellent, and once again, all the staff were friendly and attentive. We had a very good night’s sleep and then went down for breakfast. Every member of staff greeted us with a cheerful “good morning” and were incredibly helpful. The lady who had served us in the restaurant the previous evening told us about the hotel’s newly refurbished rooms. After we had finished our meal, she kindly took us to see them. They are fantastic, and we are already looking forward to staying in one on our next visit. What more can I say? You will not go wrong with this hotel. Thank you to all the staff and management for making our stay so enjoyable."

"It was odd to enter a hotel and find a child playing computer games on reception. The lovely Italian gentleman soon appeared and checked us in and took us to our room. He was very helpful and welcoming. We went straight down to dinner and were sat at a lovely table by the window overlooking the river. The chairs were completely shot with no seat support at all. I had to get a cushion to sit on but it wasn't much help. The menu was amazing and the food was fantastic. Unfortunately there's no blackout blinds or curtains. When we looked at the curtains they have black mould along the bottom of the lining. There's lights outside that shine up at the hotel however they also shine into the room at the side of the curtains so even during hours of darkness the room isn't dark. Once you get to 5am the room is flooded with light. The mattress has seen better days and offered no support. Our sleep therefore was very poor each of the two nights we stayed. The decor is lovely and it's obvious the owner has a good business, some excellent staff and a fantastic chef, but if you have had a poor night's sleep in a hotel it's difficult to score it very highly as sleep is the point of a hotel. The breakfast was excellent however the breakfast waitress, although clearly extremely capable and efficient, was somewhat brisk. The second morning when waiting to be seated for breakfast we were ignored by the bar staff who went to serve some locals who arrived after us. The new lady was excellent."

"We booked the apartment as we were in Grt Yarmouth For a friends wedding, booked 2 different apartments We were made to feel very welcome by the host Haníf, he was available at the end of the phone at anytime. The rooms are extremely basic, would not call the apartments modern. Taps were not clean. Toilet seat moved, no bread knives in the cutlery, my friends room had wooden cutlery in the draw with a few odds. It’s not like anywhere I’ve ever stayed before in my Life,"
