Cozy Vacation Home

I was pleased with the home. It was very clean and well stocked with essential items. I loved the location. It was close to the beach, as well as gift shops and eateries. The neighbors were friendly too.

Our stay in Port Aransas

The property was very clean. Easy to find. A party across the street Saturday night woke my husband but not me. We didn’t find any extra trash bags. We had plenty of towels. We will stay again.

Nice rental, communication with management for check in needs improvement.

Overall we had a good stay. The home was comfortable, well stocked except for laundry detergent. Location was centrally located, only a few minutes to the beach and restaurants. My two issues were with check in and the coffee maker. I knew we'd be arriving late so I was concerned about the check-in process. When I messaged the management company online I was told there was a code for a lockbox. The day of check in I got a text saying I needed to pickup a key. I replied asking for the latest I could pickup the key and was told the office closed at 8pm. I replied stating there was no way I could arrive by that to time and asked how I could make other arrangements to get the key. I didn't receive any texts back after that. The communication of check in procedures was poorly communicated and made the check in process more stressful than needed. The home was clean, however the coffee maker was moldy, like no one had checked or cleaned the coffee filter in weeks.

Adult Vacation

All in all it is in a great location to beach and to stores and restaurants. It is in a very quiet neighborhood. We would rent again, just needs a better cleaning service (which I understand during these trying times is hard to find people who want to work). The house was dirty when we checked in. They sent cleaners to clean, but it still was a mediocre job. The dishes in the cabinets and drawers were also dirty. We ran the dish washer 3-4 times while there. Cleaning before use and after use. The coffee pot was disgusting inside and out. Countertops had sand on them, soap scum still on bathroom countertops. Showers were sandy. Floors were dirty with foot prints. There was no broom or mop left in the house for us to use for us to clean properly. Property had a lot of rooms that were shut off from us, like pantry & master closet. There was a over the door hanger in the master closet for hanging our clothes (probably was for wet towels or swimsuits).

Nicely updated townhome lacking closet space.

Nicely updated but no master bedroom closet space really was disappointing. The garage, kitchen pantry, and master closet are all reserved for the owner seems a bit excessive. So our groceries had to lye on the kitchen counters and our nowhere to hang our clothes in the master bedroom. Most places I’ve rented over the last five or so years have had a keypad door lock. Having to keep tabs on a key was inconvenient, plus having to pick up the keys and return. Of which we were given the wrong keys when we arrived. Also we’re given the wrong WiFi info. Took a day to get the right WiFi logins. Bedding was a disappointment too. Sheets felt like burlap sacks and the comforter was too thin. No extra blankets were given so we had to use beach towels. Location is great and main living and kitchen is nice and adequate. We are regular short term rental occupants and I’m simply comparing this rental to others we have stayed in.
