This house is one of our favorites!!!!! It is in an awesome location, close to the beach and the park with visits from the wild horses. It's also clean and comfortable with lots of great amenities. The host is so friendly and helpful! We will definitely be back!

The host (Kevin) is great! Very communicative and helpful. The house is beautiful and in great shape, well maintained and very clean. The kitchen and bathrooms are well stocked and all amenities are in excellent shape. Lots of games and beach toys/chairs. Really reduces what you need to bring with you. We had horses visit each morning and evening which was really cool. Would definitely recommend this place!

Kevin (host) was on top of everything. We had such an AMAZING time. This home was perfect in every way possible. The location was perfect! All amenities were exactly as expected and more. I truly just cannot say enough good things. If you want to experience peace, quiet and the horses this is your place. Book fast because I am telling everyone about this home & Kevin. Kevin thank you. This home was beautiful. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was fully stocked which for me was a big plus. I stayed with my family and having all of them on one floor was wonderful as well. There was games for all ages. We enjoyed being able to bring our four legged babies and even though the home is pet friendly you would never be able to tell.The host, Kevin, was very nice. He reached out to give information as soon as the booking was made and when I had questions he answered right away.

We had a wonderful first visit to Northern OBX! Both the four and two-legged visitors found the accommodations as advertised and comfortable. As many others have said, Kevin is a top notch host, going above and beyond to make sure you have an enjoyable vacation.

Enjoyed property would stay in area again

I would recommend this property to families - there are four nice sized bedrooms as well as a family-TV type room on ground floor with a large couch. It is a short walk drive from the beach and the owner provided many beach chairs, kayaks, paddle board etc. There are two full baths in the house and a nice outdoor shower. The jacuzzi was clean and water had been treated etc.

Check-in was super easy. We came a little early and had the opportunity to meet the home owner. It was super clean and the kitchen was fully stocked. Our family of 5 was very comfortable and we would certainly come back.

Our family had the best week staying here! The house was incredibly clean when we arrived, very spacious, and well-stocked. We were able to see wild horses come up every day. 10/10 would definitely stay again!

Dancing with the Stars

The time was right. The weather was great. The skies were clear. Amazing to look down the beach, then up the beach, and see no one else. Then, look up and see the stars were ablaze. No light noise. Wonderful.

Amazing Stay – Perfect Getaway!

We had an incredible time at this vacation rental! The home was exactly as described—clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed, and the beds were super comfortable.The location was perfect—close to the beach, peaceful and private. The outdoor space was a highlight, with a great deck to view the horses around the NEIGHborhood. We even had a few in the front and back yard. The host was fantastic—responsive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed for a stress-free stay. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Great find at Carova Beach

Great house and only a very short walk to the beach. The house is decorated with some beautiful horse prints and it is very spacious. The main level has two beds and a full bath on each side of the house, separated by the great room, with an additional bathroom and game room below. The house has everything that you would ever need for a fantastic beach vacation—fully equipped kitchen, with extra fridge and freezer, bed linens, towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, life jackets, kayaks, a surf board, fire pit, hot tub… and the list goes on. Sunrise out the front, sunsets out the back. Kevin is a fantastic host! He helped us find the wild horses, recommended a great restaurant and even helped my mother find a souvenir lighthouse that she had been searching for. One of the horses visited on the last day to make it a perfect finish to our relaxing spring beach vacation. We will definitely rent this house again!

Excellent Experience

One of the best short vacations ever! House was as advertised and just a short block from the beach. When not out at the beach or exploring the island for wild horses, it was nice to relax, grill, start a fire, and soak in the hot tub. 10/10 will stay here again!

Wonderful stay

My husband and I booked Kevin's place for an off-season, long weekend getaway with our dogs and it was perfect. The house was just what we needed and the location was perfect. We could relax on the deck with our dogs while listening to the ocean or easily walk to the beach to watch the sunrise. We also had multiple visits a day from the wild horses, which was amazing to experience. Kevin was a great host and responded quickly to messages I sent. He also recommended a great place to get crabs before crossing into the island. We have already thought about when to come back and hope to do so soon!!

OBX adventure house

The only glitch was arriving in the dark after a long crazy drive, then navigating high tide driving on the beach. The accommodations were perfect. The host, very communicative and helpful. He even let us use his crab traps for a fresh caught meal. Highly recommend- but know you will have to watch the tide times!

This trip was one for the books. This was the week of hurricane Helene. You should definitely be an experienced driver to take your family here. The high tides were serious I loved the feel. Of being away from town but the ocean is your playground
