Beautiful cozy cottage with all the amenities we needed. Has a great view and entertaining wildlife on the water. We were visited by ducks, loons, gulls, eagles, and otters in our short stay. The hosts were very helpful and everything was as stated or better.

The hosts had excellent communication! Loved that they honor veterans with a discount as well. The home was absolutely amazing! If you want to just stay and relax, there are amazing views from the couches, the deck, and the yard. To watch the sunrise and the moon come up from the deck was a true gift. The amenities were great as well. Nicely stocked kitchen, games for the family, hygiene products in bathroom to include things you don't normally get like q-tips and make remover cloths. We came when the average temperature was 45 degrees. The heating system and gas fireplace all worked great and kept us plenty warm. They provide a seafood cookng pot with propane burner outside, which came in handy. The Corea Lobster Co-Op is 3 miles away and you get fresh lobster, right off the boat, for an amazing price!! If you want to get out, there are villages and towns all very close and of course, the beautiful Acadia National Park! Thank you for a great stay!

The host was welcoming and responsive, and the property is beautiful and very comfortable. The views are amazing, and you really can see the stars through the skylight over the loft bedroom. We absolutely loved this place!

I wish words could explain our experience. It was truly magical. It’s was so peaceful and tranquil. The scenery from the deck over the water was breathtaking. The house felt very loving and peaceful. My wife and 2 kids felt very secure and happy there which means everything. The host was great and you could tell that hospitality JS very important to them. We will be back, cannot wait to see the lobster boats again some day.

This cottage is so charming, clean and cozy. Very thoughtful and comfortable decor. Brand new appliances in the well equipped kitchen. Neighborhood is incredibly quiet and relaxing, and close to many great restaurants in Corea and Winter Harbor area. The views of the ocean on both sides of cottage are incredible. Owner is very fast to respond to questions. A 25 min drive to Schoodic Point or just over an hour to main part of Acadia on MDI. Gorgeous coastline and hikes all around the area. Highly recommend!!!

Absolutely perfect

We were here just a short time and wished we could have stayed longer! Everything was perfect and the hosts provided so many little things that made our stay effortless. The view was insane and the house was immaculate and so cozy. We would love to visit again.

Am Amazing Gem with Character and Breathtaking Views!

We could not love this property any more!! It was perfection! The house was clean and provided everything you could need or might possibly forget! The views were breathtaking and the interior was perfectly designed for comfort and practicality! The furniture and beds were comfy, the loft bedroom is just amazing, and the yard was great! The stargazing platform was an amazing honus as well as firewood, starters and smores. The.hosts provided great communication and recommendations for us! I would highly recommend and would love to stay again!

Amazing hosts, exceptional views,

Everything from our check in to check out was A+. Cottage was immaculate, bright, and open with views of the bay from every room. Kitchen is fully equipped with amenities that aren’t usually supplied such as assortment of seasonings, cooking oil, cooking spray, ziplock bags, travel size treats such as cookies, chips, and crackers, etc. We absolutely loved how quiet and peaceful it was. We felt secluded even though other houses weren't far away. The star gazing platform was a highlight of our trip considering we reside in an area with high light pollution and noise. We weren’t far away from the scenic drive to Schoodic point (highly recommend), Tidal Falls, dollar general, and many other small business stores. Highly recommend stopping in to buy one of the local desserts sold. Communications with the hosts far beyond our expectations.

The PERFECT Getaway!

We found Compass Point Cottage on VRBO, and the pictures (while BEAUTIFUL) don’t compare to what you’ll see in person. The cottage is situated in your own private Maine paradise- close enough to Bar Harbor to enjoy the fun activities available, but far enough away to enjoy peace, quiet, and the raw coastal beauty Maine has to offer. We sipped our coffees on the back deck overlooking the bay each morning, and cozied up around the bonfire at night. The hosts thought of every detail possible to make your stay special and so very comfortable. A truly remarkable experience.

25th Anniversary

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Compass Point! The cottage style atmosphere is beautiful and it’s easy to see that lots of thought was put into each and every detail inside. The property inside and out is well kept and the scenic view is breathtaking. Thank you for making our 1st trip to Maine so memorable!

Well appointed cottage in a beautiful spot!

Compass Point is situated in a truly stunning location. We were able to to seamlessly ease into vacation mode as soon as we arrived. This cottage has everything you need so that you do not need to worry about running out to the store. In the morning, we enjoyed coffee on the deck watching loons, arctic terns, and eagles. The propane hookup allowed us to cook our own lobsters, which we enjoyed at the picnic table with a breathtaking view. The evening involved star gazing and s'mores at the firepit. We enjoyed all the amenities and will be back! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

Absolutely stunning property

We had the most amazing stay at Compass Point- probably one of the nicest locations we have even seen. If you are looking for a spectacular view, clean, well-appointed cottage this is for you! My children loved the property, we saw tons of birds and the vistas are just incredible. This location is about 60ish minutes from the main Acadia park, however it's close to Schoodic which is a lesser visited but gorgeous part of Acadia. The main park is still easily drivable. We went to Bar Harbor and we were SO happy that we picked a spot that was out of the crowded areas. It was like being in our own private park. The hosts even left some little snacks for the kids and everything we needed for a s'mores bonfire. It was East Coast perfection!! Definitely recommend. We will be back.

Great place and hosts

My family stayed here for a couple days while touring UMaine campus. This cottage is great... very nice inside with personal touches and right on the Atlantic ocean. We really enjoyed the bonfire and star gazing platform. We will visit again!

Magical and serene getaway

We had an awesome time at Compass Point. The owners promptly answered our questions before we arrived. The house is only a few miles from the Schoodick Peninsula and we were able to ride our bikes. We absolutely loved the location, about an hour north of Acadia. We enjoyed the oceanside firepit and the astronomy platform. We saw the Milky Way and a shooting star! The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. We would love to come back.

Such a special place

We just got back from a great family vacation at Compass Point. It was perfect for our family of 4- cozy and so thoughtfully appointed. Being on the water was incredible- my kids climbed all over the rocks and found crabs and other tide pool critters and we enjoyed wine and sunsets on the deck. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. It's definitely on the "quiet side" so you may want to bring some provisions, but it was also nice to be away from crowds in MDI. It is a special place and we hope to return.
