The room is very dark because there aren’t enough light fixtures. There are only three lamps with low wattage bulbs in our room. Worse yet, one of the bulbs is broken. The person at the front desk doesn’t answer the phone. We had to go to the front desk to ask for a new light bulb. However, she showed no interest in helping us, claiming that the maintenance person had already left. Since the room is unbearably dark, I asked if she can possibly take a light bulb from an unused lamp in the back office and have the maintenance person replace it the next morning. She flat out refused to do anything to help. Her favorite reply to any question or request seems to be “I can’t help you with that.” I have stayed at many other Holiday Inn Express hotels. Her attitude has to be the worst by far.
