Located on one of Columbia’s most beautiful and historic properties, the Clark-Hubbard House and Gardens, the Camellia cottage is truly one of a kind. Relax in this quiet and spacious, fully furnished cottage that overlooks a beautiful garden that was started in the early 1900s. Situated only 2 blocks from the heart of the Devine St. district where there’s shopping, coffee/restaurants and bars, and less than 3 miles from the South Carolina Football stadium, you’ll have easy access to all that Columbia has to offer.

This 1 bedroom, 1 bath guest cottage is fully furnished with a queen bed and a sleeper sofa (double). The cottage is above a 2 car garage with separate access to the entrance after walking up a flight of stairs. The main room includes an open floor plan living and dining area plus an efficiency kitchen which includes a microwave, coffee maker, sink with disposal, mini refrigerator with freezer, a large convection toaster oven and 2 ceramic burners. The bedroom is cozy and quiet and includes a Juliet balcony. The spa like bathroom includes a double shower with a rain shower head and large soaking tub. The cottage was perfect for our stay! We were there for parents weekend for our son at Carolina. The location was very convenient. The cottage was clean and comfortable and very quiet and private. Randy was friendly and helpful. He even called after we left because we accidentally left my husband's dress pants! Luckily, we were still in town at breakfast with our son so we could easily go back to get them. We would stay again. Thank you!

The pictures don’t do this property justice. It is a clean and welcoming environment. A true sanctuary in Columbia and in a great location close to campus. The owners make you feel right at home. We hope to stay there again on our next visit!

Wonderful Stay - Highly Recommended

My wife and I came to Columbia for Parent's weekend at USC. We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. The location is terrific for visits to USC, Five Points, SODA City, Graduation, etc. The cottage itself was great too. It was private, well appointed, and perfect for our visit. We felt right at home from the very beginning......We'll definitely be back again!

This is the first place that I have ever stayed that truly mad eke feel at home!!! The beauty of the home and the amazing kindness from the owners was exceptional!!! Definitely would stay there again and would recommend this stay to anyone looking for a place in Columbia!!!

This was one of the nicest VRBO properties I have visited. Beautiful setting, quiet area but close to everything. The design of the property and gardens was worth the visit. I would give 10 stars for cleanliness if allowed

Great location and very comfortable

My wife and I were in town for a parents weekend at USC and are very glad we found this place. The location is very convenient to the Devine St., 5 Points and the downtown/Vista area. The cottage was perfect for us and look forward to renting again.

Nice place, nice location

Exterior picture doesn't do this place justice. Very nice apartment over garage tucked away in a garden behind home. Street parking is easy. Easy communication through text with owner. Great location with easy walk to Devine St shops/restaurants. My only knock would be for a single night stay after fees, security deposit, and additional reqd insurance the price jumps up quite a bit. But thats on me for booking last minute. Would definitely book again and recommend for multiple night stay.

Columbia gem

My husband and I stayed at this cottage while in Columbia for a USC parents weekend; it was perfect in every way. Located in a secret garden in the backyard of a home in Old Shandon neighborhood, it is very close to Five Points and the USC campus. It is very well appointed and the bed was super comfortable; the bathroom was large enough for both my hiusband and I to get ready at the same time which is a plus. The wall of bookshelves is filled with interesting books and neat memorabilia from the CItadel. Randy was very nice and called a couple days before check-in and left a note with restaurant recommendations in the kitchen. We really enjoyed our stay here and definitely would consider renting again.

We were looking for a weekend getaway and this charming cottage was the perfect match.

Though located within a minutes drive to downtown, this charming cottage is nestled within a quiet garden that provided a backdrop for an amazing weekend stay. The hosts were so accommodating and available to answer questions, offer suggestions for places to eat, and provide all the amenities needed to relax and enjoy ourselves. My favorites were soaking in the tub, having coffee in the garden, grilling dinner, and the soft cozy bed! It is a ideal spot for a couple to spend time reconnect, whether by enjoying the convenience to shopping and attractions of Columbia or snuggling up to watch movies from endless available channels. This is a hidden treasure we will definitely revisit!
