Everything was beautiful and just as expected. I will say if you don’t like sounds of footsteps maybe this might not be the place for you. As expected the unit above is occupied you will hear the footsteps however for my stay it didn’t bother me.
Place was pretty clean and well put together. All of the amenities were a nice thought. The hosts left us be, which meant a lot for our vacation.
My wife had no complaints.
I think the pillows and bed need to be upgraded. Every morning I woke up with aches in my neck and back.
Nice basement apartment with everything you need. Has a comfy bed, fireplace, large tv with streaming service, full little compact kitchen, and nice bathroom/shower. The host was very responsive and friendly. Property is close to several restaurants and shopping but be prepared to drive a little to some of the popular attractions as Colorado Springs is large city. Would definitely recommend.
Here’s the deal. This is a basement apartment, so if you can’t handle the noise of people walking around above you, you’ll probably be inclined to move on, but they do provide ear plugs! Yes, as mentioned in a previous review, the mattress is firm, but not any worse than a hotel at this price. This is a well-appointed space that needs nothing for short-term stays.

I stayed at this property for a single night. Instructions by the host were incredibly clear. The studio is organized really well and there are extremely thoughtful in the different rooms about how to properly use the stuff around the place and what to do if you’re looking for something and can’t seem to find it the property is in a really nice neighborhood everything is new an extremely organized. They have a little kitchen set with cooking appliances as well as cooking utensils and a small dining area it was an extremely comfortable stay.Loved it!
Nice place.
But the clean job before we arrived was not done properly.
There was a used wash cloth hanging from the shower. The shower rug was still wet. And there was black facial hair trimmings on the sink faucet and handles.
We had to clean this before using.
Also the air condition cam on and was very cold and we had no way to stop the air coming in.
But there was a heater to help even out the comfort level.
The bed mattress is very uncomfortable. You sink into the bed and feel metal springs. It should be upgraded ASAP.
But a very nice place to stay other than those few things. This place could be great.

The Nook was convenient for me as I had work in the area. Communication with the owner was simple emails. Check in/out process couldn’t be easier.
Where the Nook fell short for me was when I opened the fridge there were left over items from the previous occupant. Then when I went into the shower there were used shampoo bottles. Either from the previous occupant or from the owner who lives above the walkout basement.
I was in search of a quiet place to relax and get some rest; unfortunately with the footsteps and baby crying above, I did not get rest. In addition, the spring loaded bed was ridiculously uncomfortable and felt like it leaned also.
It’s 2022, probably time to invest in a newer more comfortable bed.
Overall it wasn’t the worst place I’ve had to stay, but I won’t be returning.
The unit itself was perfectly fine...clean, neat, and fresh. The only noteworthy shortcoming with the property (and a big one) are the treacherous stairs leading to the backyard entrance. The long flight of stairs are an uneven combination of timbers, loose river stones, flatish irregular rocks, and pavers. You have to carefully watch every step to be sure you don't stumble or fall. That's bad enough, but we arrived after dark and the solar lights were exhausted so we encountered these hazardous stairs in the pitch dark. Fortunately, we had our phones with lights, but had to schlep all our heavy luggage down the stairs with one hand while we held our phone lights with the other. Rolling them was out of the question. A couple of times, we took missteps and almost fell. The owner is strongly encouraged to improve the stairs before someone gets hurt.
Very nice accommodations , spacious and has great bathroom and kitchen areas. Getting to the entrance around back is a bit tricky.
Overall it was very good.
What a wonderful place to stay. Just as nice as in the photos with plenty of space for two. They have everything thing you could possibly need and more. A really nice big TV with the office was the cherry on top for us. Although, if you need pitch black to sleep I would recommend bringing a sleeping mask, its stays fairly dim in the morning with the blackout curtains but good to keep in mind if you are very sensitive to light. The host were incredibly helpful and kind! We would definitely stay again next time we visit!
This was a beautiful, cozy room. They had extra items in case things were forgotten, super easy check in/out instructions, and checked in on us throughout the trip. My boyfriend and I both agreed it was much nicer staying here than a hotel. We were much more comfortable and felt a little safer, not worrying about someone entering the room. The nook made our trip so much better, it was nice having a warm and cozy place to come back to at the end of the day. We would most definitely book here again.
