"The room was comfortable, clean, and slept great!! Super quiet too… would have loved a hook or 2- to hang towels or the bath mat. Also, the half shower door is cute but made a mess!! Great service and staff."

"The bathroom door drug on the floor and would only open about two feet. to get in and out and was very difficult to close completely. Our shower had mold under the caulking over several feet around the bottom of the shower. The carpet was sticky in some areas. The dresser drawers didn't all pull out. It was double price for a Saturday night versus Sunday night."

"It was a very fun place to stay! You walk past a vibrant bar on the way to check in. Our room wasn't ready. But, we were able to leave our bags since we had somewhere to be. Our bags were in our room when we returned, The room was spacious, updated and clean. There was a stocked mini fridge. But, left room for our own drinks/food if we wanted to add our own items. There were many restaurants & bars nearby. There is a rooftop cinema about a block away. No driving or ride sharing needed for that. Very fun & unique date night option! There is a rooftop bar at the hotel, too. Great view of downtown KC! The signage for the hotel was hard to see. Mostly, because the sign is low and 2 buses were blocking the sign. We did have to drive around the block again before finding the entrance."

"Pro's: Covered, secure parking - albeit expensive. Very comfy beds - pillowtop. Bar in the lobby is great and bar food was excellent. Location great for main street and the street car. Cons: pretty filthy. Rooms are not clean, so if you are a clean freak, this may not be the hotel for you. Beds were clean "looking," but bathrooms, walls, closets, doors, handles, etc. filthy. Cleaning staff need a supervisor and quality control. Our co2 alarm was ripped out of the wall, just sitting on a ledge. Hallways are dingy and dark. Guest rooms and halls all need an update - especially the old bathrooms. Breakfast: We paid for daily buffet in advance, unfortunately, buffet is not available if the hotel is low on guests (to "save money and waste.")We were asked to order off a menu and select only 1 entree -no extras. (could not add fruit or oatmeal, for example without paying extra.) Also, gratuity expected because buffet switched to menu service. Food was poor quality in general - cheap ingredients. Very greasy. Coffee awful. My toast was the heel of a cheap loaf of wheat. Honestly, don't pay for the breakfast. There is an amazing bagel cafe at 13th and Main Meshuggahs. Go there. I guess what bugged me the most about breakfast was the server's attitude - acting as if she had no clue why we asking about a buffet when I could see the room behind her with all the buffet serving vessels arranged. She knew what we were confused about."
