「I stayed at Preston House last week. Hotels.com didn't send me the details on email as was outlined in the booking. I contacted the owner who was extremely helpful and gave me an upgrade and sent on all the details straight away. The house itself is beautiful and my room was spacious and comfortable and a really lovely place to stay. Not their fault—and the staff on the front desk were marvellous if you could get their attention, but it was apparent that they are short staffed. 「Check in & check out easy & fast. Breakfast is plentiful & worth the price. Staff friendly & helpful. Building is showing its age. Could use cosmetic improvement. Room bathrooms show signs of damage & lack of maintenance. No heating controls in room (only option is to open window) Choice in restaurant / bar area is limited, with no change in menu or specials offered. Overall the staff & breakfast make the stay worthwhile. 」
