Disappointed
To start, the host didn’t contact us with check in information until just a few hours before check in time. This was after I tried to call and message the host multiple times with no answer. I had to call VRBO and they tried to contact the host as well. He finally called me and asked to make sure we read the rules and we didn’t scratch anything in the property?
When we got there, the code didn’t work and the lockbox that he said had a key in it did not.
The worst part was that the apartment was not cleaned well. As soon as we got there I sat my 10 month baby on the floor to crawl. After just a few minutes I was astonished to see here little feet and hands were completely black from the disgusting floor. There was mouse poop and bugs everywhere, cob webs, cracks/gaps all in the flooring, and a NAIL sticking out of the transition leading into the bedroom. My 2 year old and I both stepped on it.
My advice would be to be more professional and CLEAN the place! There’s nothing worse than staying somewhere dirty.
