Air conditioning was off for the whole time even though outside is 90 Fahrenheit. Talked to front desk staff, they said the whole central system is not on no matter how low I set the temperature to. I need to open the window in order to sleep but outside is super noisy and I need to put ear plugs in order for me to sleep. I got hot when I put on the blanket and cold when I didn’t during the night. I catch a cold at the end. The location is close to bus station, but a little bit far from the train station. A lot of street food and night market just off the street. Close to the shopping center tho. Would not stay there again.

For English speaking person, a little difficult but staff are very helpful with phone apps etc helping. Breakfast is very comprehensive and easy to select many different styles of breakfast taste. Excellent.

very noisy, room doors slamming at all hours. busy area of Chongqing. ads said 24 room service, they did not. English is spoken but not understood. reason we stayed there was the room service because we don't speak or read chinese making hard to eat out without help. very disappointed because it is run by IHG and they are normally fantastic. not here. they did nothing about in house noise, walls are super thin. not a good stay

Carpet can be improved

Not easy to find and not recommended for senior travellers. Public transportation is available but you need to walk; eg 10-15 mins walk to the nearest metro station at the Shin Kong place, at Jiazhou station. Incidentally, Shin Kong place is a beautiful shopping and food complex, which is worth a visit. The front desk speaks little English but I suggest they can improve by having better knowledge of their local area. The room is clean and bright but the carpet (colour) makes it look tired. If the Holiday Inn Express logo colour is used, it will improve greatly.

Moderate Price Hotel-Good Location

I stay here frequently when in Chongqing China. It is a good basic western style hotel.The front desk does speak a little English. If you can speak a little Mandarin or are with someone who does, it makes a big difference. The hotel staff is then quite responsive.
