We had a wonderful stay! John’s home is beautiful. The apartment is very spacious and well appointed. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable, and having a large outdoor space was a huge plus! My wife and I felt right at home. The neighborhood is fantastic. Lots of excellent restaurants and shops, all within walking distance. The Brown and Red train lines are very close, and there’s a bus stop right on the corner. We had an easy time getting around. We look forward to staying here again.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
The apartment is in need of a total makeover. The first thing you notice when walking in is the smell. There is mold somewhere (it is evident in the second bathroom and the trim above the door at the main bathroom) There is very little lighting available in the living/dining area. There is a ceiling fan but the light doesn’t work. There are two lamps that don’t give off much light. The second bathroom has broken tiles and the bathtub doesn’t drain. By the time I was done with the shower the bathtub was to my knees with water. It took over 30 minutes for it to drain. So essentially we shared one bathroom. Two of us tried to dry our hair in each bathroom at the same time and blew a fuse. The main bedroom has a large bump in the floor where clearly some damage had happened. It was an extremely dangerous tripping hazard that put my aunt on the floor the first day. We tried to play games at the table in the back room (the only place there was decent lighting) but the chairs were so worn and broken down we couldn’t sit in them for long. My uncle tried to use one of the creamers that are left out and they were rancid. One of the lights above the sink is missing and parts are hanging. All of the pillows smell like dirty heads. We tried to spend as little time as possible in the unit due to the smell so we didn't have meals there so I can’t rate the kitchen. Communication was great before our arrival and the location is really good. But unfortunately we won’t be back.
