Good place to stay.

This place is nice and roomy and the owner had incredible communication and made the check in process quick and simple. The area is decent and for people without cars the metro is a 10-15 minute walk. Would definitely Recommend this place.

Great Comfortable Stay

My friends and I stsyed with Alma for a Girl's Weekend. Our stay was comfortable and Alma was there for everything we needed. She was very accommodating. The listing was the perfect place to come to after a long day of exploring Chicago.

Great Rental, Comfy Comforters

Great unit! Spacious and clean. We were able to have the best family mini vacay sharing tons of laughs and memories. I believe it is family owned, which is a bonus for us. We even crossed paths with the grandmother who was very kind and accommodating. The only downside was that the neighborhood looked a bit rough in the harsh light of day. However, we only encountered polite neighbors and an adorable doggo next door.

Beware

The only positive is that Alma, the owner, was very easy to get in touch with & responded very quickly. The property is in a VERY sketchy location. Afraid for our kids. It’s says “no smoking”, but as soon as you enter the property that’s all you smell. They tried to cover it up with perfume or air freshener spray (Reminded me of my grandma’s place). Had to wash all of our clothes, bags & pillows when we returned due to the smoke smell. Bed near the kitchen was dirty. Hair & lipstick stains in & on the sheets. Towels in bathroom had hair on them. Kitchen island was damaged & leaning badly. Tried to use the garage to park one of our 2 cars late on a Sat night, but unable to access it because another car was parked down the middle of it. Highly recommend finding another location to use.

Property was nice and easy to get to and check in went very smooth. Some of the sheets were a little dirty, one towel had a hair ball in it and the dish washer had dirty dishes in it leaving the silverware drawer basically empty when we got there… but other than those two things it was excellent. Host was very nice and quick to respond!

The accommodations were clean and exactly as described in the listing. Check-in was easy, and the home had everything we needed for our stay.The only downsides were the surrounding neighborhood, which felt a bit sketchy, and the noise from the upstairs neighbors. We could hear them walking around early each morning, and the noise carried enough to disturb our sleep.Overall, the property itself met our expectations, but if you're a light sleeper or looking for a quieter location, those are things to keep in mind.

This property was very nice., Host was very accommodating and let us check in early so we didnt need to haul our luggage around with us for hours. My only issue was the not the host fault, but the location is not best area. Probably the cost was so reasonable.

Easy to get to downtown attractions. Plenty of light. Lots of space. Host should think about selling whatever it was they were cooking downstairs because it smelled incredible every night. Beds were a little firm but living room couch was large and nice and cozy. Host was prompt with replies. Never felt unsafe. Would stay here again

Alma was an amazing host answering all my questions and even accommodating us when our travel dates were changed. I drove and was there a little early to check in and she let me check in anyways. The unit is nice, clean and very big. The biggest con had nothing to do with Alma or her hospitality, it's about the noise from the upstairs unit. The floors are very thin and you hear every little noise, we could hear full conversations, and if the people staying up in that unit smoke, it fills your unit. The area seemed a little sketch at first but we didn't have any issues at all. So realized it was a wrong first impression.We would definitely stay there again.Chicago is a beautiful city and we had an amazing time!
