Great space, okay location, inefficient communication
- instructions for check in and check out were not prompt. The day of check in I did not receive the instructions to check in until a little after the check in time. I was happy to be running behind in schedule (due to Uber wait time) because my friends and I would have been standing outside waiting for check in instructions. Which posed a threat to our safety. - There was EXCESSIVE dust on the vent and a variety of markings and knicks on the walls (and door) of the apartment - There was an incident where a random man, from off the street, came on to the property and tried to open the door- shaking the door- to see if he could get in. My friends were watching TV (right by the door) and I was taking a shower! The door only has one turn lock and is blurred- not fully opaque. This made us feel very unsafe and on edge throughout the duration of the stay. - The apartment does not cancel the outside noise or lights- as we saw multiple police, ambulance, and fire department siren lights throughout our stay. As a Chicago native, I am used to the lights and sounds of the city, but as for my guests (who are not from the city) it was alarming and uncomfortable.- The host mentioned that if I needed anything he would be readily available to assist, but was unresponsive for long periods of time to all of my messages.
