This penthouse apartment is truly a gem!Clean, well appointed & amazing views! Close walking distance to pretty much everything in the city! Hosts were awesome as well, will be back here for sure when we return to Chicago!!!

The apartment was beautiful. Amazing views, central location, grocery store downstairs, and transit steps from the door. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay, just sad it ended so soon. Host communicated everything very well. I didn’t feel the need to wonder or question anything. We will definitely be booking this again when we return.

Everything in the apartment worked well. The apartment was very spacious. We did not park. Host was very communicative. The property has fabulous views of the Chicago skyline. The amenities were fabulous: swimming pool, outdoor area, library, game room, excellent, well equipped gym.

Very nice fully stocked apartment with convenience of grocery store and prime downtown location. Views are amazing. Owners communication is very responsive and detailed. Access to all amenities included. Doorman very helpful.

We very much enjoyed this penthouse and the stunning view. We watched the Navy Pier fireworks from the windows. The location is terrific, with much to do/see within easy walking distance, and easy access to the L trains for venturing further away. We didn’t do any cooking, but the kitchen was well appointed with dishes and other kitchen essentials (like coffee filters, etc.) for enjoying a continental breakfast and snacks. All we needed to purchase was our groceries.

Perfect Stay in the City!

What a wonderful stay we had at the Grand Plaza penthouse! Jeri & James thought of all the details that make an VRBO feel like a home. Their instructions were very thorough, and when we did reach out, Jeri was very responsive throughout our stay.Calling this condo home during our trip to Chicago made it extra memorable! The views of the city were breathtaking and the location was more than we could have asked for. You will find travel to and from the airport a breeze with the Red Line a few steps away, so many amazing restaurants within a 10 minute walk, and an enjoyable stroll to both the River Walk and Michigan Avenue.Our stay at the Grand Plaza Penthouse coincided with one of Chicago’s summer heatwaves, however, having this unit to come back to after a day full of adventures and sightseeing refreshed us and made us forget about the temperatures outside. One night, we even chose to enjoy the city views from the balcony and ordered Lou’s deep dish pizza to the building. I could go on, but all of this is to say, my family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Grand Plaza penthouse and would highly recommend!

Family getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the penthouse. The views are incredible and the apartment was well-appointed with everything we needed. We did laundry halfway through our stay and went home with some clean clothes. My husband and I both enjoyed the soaking tub. The only downsides were that the bed and pillows were quite firm for us and the sauna wasn’t working properly during our visit. Traveling with a toddler can be a real challenge but the apartment helped greatly.

Perfect!

The apartment was exactly as described. We enjoyed the amenities on the 9th floor, including the free lattes in the morning. View was amazing and the location was perfect. The fireplace was a nice touch for chilly Chicago days. Couldn’t have been better. Thank you!

Great location and view

We had an absolutely amazing stay on the 52nd floor of this condo in downtown Chicago! The view of the city and lake was breathtaking, especially during the air and water show—we had front-row seats to the Blue Angels buzzing the skyline. The unit was exactly as described—clean, well-stocked, and super comfortable. The building amenities were top-notch; we spent a ton of time relaxing by the pool. Overall, it was a perfect getaway, and we can't wait to come back!

Terrific Location!

This is our 2nd stay at Grand Plaza. The location is central to many attractions within walking distance. You cant beat the city and lake view from the 52nd floor! The condo itself was well stocked, even with cotton balls and Q-tips!

Amazing!

The Penthouses on Grand are amazing! The property amenities are great! The pool area is awesome! The outdoor areas are great! The workout facility is fantastic! But the views....OMG...the views are simply the best! I can't recommend this property highly enough ! The location is great, as it is a short walk to the river and all the hotspots around downtown. Its right on the Redline, so baseball parks are quick. We just had a such a great time in Chicago b/c we stayed here. TOTAL 5-STAR PLACE!!!

Nice building,great location

This building has great amenities and great location. And the unit has great views. However there were a couple of things that were substandard for the price and quality of building and location: the unit has carpet throughout and it’s really dirty. Also the towels were cheap Walmart towels. Also note that the bed is a queen (which is how it’s advertised). But plenty of room for a king bed. And would be expected for a “penthouse”. Other than that we enjoyed the stay.

Large Penthouse, Great Location

Had a great time visiting Chicago and the location is perfect - close to everything. My husband and I walked everywhere. The place is clean and the owners responded quickly to any questions we had. We will definitely stay here again.
