タイ語は判らず英語は中学英語程度でしか理解できない大阪のシニア夫婦(78才と73才)です。 宿泊客としては欧米人が多いそうで日本人はあまりに来ないそうです。 環境は静かでスタッフがとても親切でした。 市街地に行くのもホテルがツクツクを呼んでくれて問題はなくホテルへ帰るのもツクツクを拾うのが容易でした。 今回は4月で一番暑い時(40℃前後)だったので時候の良い11月以降にもう一度行ってみたい処です。

Riverside Hotel and it could be better ...
Location was on the river and the scenery was nice. Towels were not enough and the breakfast menu was the same during the stay if 4 nights.

高級リゾートホテルというより自然の中のコテージホテル
市内からは少し離れているので自然の中でゆっくりできるホテルです。ただし常にタクシー移動です。高級リゾートホテルを期待していましたが、リノベーション中の部屋の工事現場が丸見えでリゾートホテルとは少し期待外れでした。歩道や小道のメンテナンスも高級感はあまり期待できません。部屋のベッドやソファーなどは居心地がよく部屋の中はゆっくり快適に過ごせました。日中は連泊御構い無しに草刈りを全力でされて眠れませんでした。宿泊客の部屋の周辺は気遣いがあってもよかったと思います。

タイ北部の静かなリゾートホテル
川を見て、夜はヤモリと鳥の鳴き声を聞き、静かな滞在でした。ランドリーサービスもスムーズでした。 お風呂のお湯が溜まりにくいのが難点ですが、バスルームは広く、お湯は充分に使えました。快適でした。私達が泊まった時は、アジア人はほとんど見ず、欧米人ばかりでした。

GRAND DELUXE STUDIO (コテージ風)に4泊宿泊、浴室 トイレがそれぞれ独立しておりとても広い設備でした。 東洋人系の宿泊客は10パーセントぐらいでした。静かで落ち着いた雰囲気でした。

チェンライ市内からさほど遠くないコテージ型ホテルで、ビル型のホテルに無い良さがあるが、Expediaのサイトにある写真は補正?し過ぎのようで、鵜呑みにすると現実とのギャップにがっかりします。 と言っても、コック川沿いの自然豊かな環境は正にチェンライの良さであり、十分快適な部屋と朝食が提供されますので、豪華さではなく田舎の良さを楽しみたい方にはお勧めです。

チェンライ訪問で3回目の宿泊
3回目の滞在でようやく室内にバスタブがある部屋になりました。1回目はシャワーのみ、2回目は蚊が沢山いるのに露店風呂でした。お値段の具合でしょうか?但し今回はベッドから本当にテレビが見ずらい配置でせっかく部屋は広いのに残念でした。スタッフは皆さんいつもフレンドリーで気持ちの良い対応をしてくださいます。

素敵な佇まいなのに・・・
素敵な佇まいのホテルなのに、楽しみに」していたジャグジーのお湯が段々使うにしたがって水になり、結局バスタブに浸かることができず、夜に部屋替えのはめ。替った部屋でも二人目の時にはお湯が出ず、結局シャワーも使えない状態。ホテル側の対応も「1時間待てばお湯が出る」などとよくわからない説明で素敵な部屋に泊まるはずの幸せ気分が一瞬にしてパーになりとても悲しく残念でした。予約したバスも時間になっても出ず、次の時間に乗るよう言われ、チェンライのトップ3に入るホテルと聞いていたのに、余りのいい加減さにがっかり。現地の日本人に言わせるとこれがタイ風だからとか・・・・

Dear Guest, Thank you for your stay with us and the feedback sharing. Please accept our apologies for the delay respond. Regarding to your comments about hot water in the Jacuzzi. Please let us explain you the following: • The room you stayed is Grand Deluxe Studio (A one storey building with 2 guestrooms), Jacuzzi bathtub in the bathroom. • Hot water was supplied from 3 units of the electric boiler heating for both 2 guestrooms (installed under the roof of building). • Each boiler tank is 100 liters water storage, unit 1 & 2 supply hot water to each guestroom seperately and unit 3 supplies a spare hot water for both 2 guestrooms. Normally the quantity of hot water supply to Jacuzzi in both 2 rooms is well operated. But whenever the hot water is keep draining from the water tap too long time then it would needs sometime to heat the refill water in the boiler tank which will take time around 15 – 20 minutes. You have stayed with us last year in December 2013 and on that period there was an unusual cold in Thailand especially in the northern provinces included Chiang Rai. We had never had a cold spell like that before since we opened the resort 10 years ago. The lowest temperature in Chiang Rai was only 7 degree Celsius and the highest during the day was 12-15 degree Celsius. Therefore, we were not prepared for it. The refill water in the boiler tank was very much colder than before that is why it took about an hour for heating. All above information is not an excuse but to explain you what had happened. We are very much concerned on your comments and we will keep it for further improvement. Thank you very much indeed for choosing stayed with us as well as your valuable comments and hopefully we would have a chance to welcoming you back to The Legend Chiang Rai once again, we remain. Poor service; overpriced
Not so great. Apparently there are 80 rooms and it certainly wasnt full. But upon checking we were put in the furthest rooms on the perimeter next to the road. Very loud at night + in early morning. Breakfast was mediocre at best (compared to other places we stayed in northern Thailand in similar price range). Very buggy, many mosquitoes due to ponds throughout the property and the river. While pretty, it was not worth the money. We scheduled a GrabPlus 3 days in advance to ensure we had 6am transport to the Lao border crossing. I started getting nervous abt lack of driver confirmation from Grab, so talked front desk staff. They said 98% chance we’d get picked up and not to worry!! I asked if they could provide a backup transport option but they said no they couldn’t think of any taxis or other services who would pick us up at that early hour. At 8pm the night before Grab cancelled our scheduled ride. Fortunately we had done Cooking with Ann the day before — she is a lovely + extremely competent woman. I WhatsApp’d her to see if she knew of any drivers or friends who could help us out early the next morning. 10 minutes later we had a confirmed ride!! Resort food and laundry services were ridiculously overpriced. $21 for dinner? One laundered t-shirt for 25bht? There’s a lovely self-serve laundromat half a block away from hotel. We washed ALL of our clothes a single LG machine for 40bht. I don't know of a better accommodation to recommend but i’m sure there is one!

Dear Khun Elizabeth,Thank you for your review and for having stayed with us at the Legend Chiang Rai 9-12 Jan. This is our high season and we were running high occupancies during your stay.The car ride to Chiang Khong is roughly a 1.5-hour trip. To pre-book a second car at 06.00 am when you had already pre-reserved a Grab car (an Uber equivalent service) to make the trip would not be fair to the other driver. One would normally choose either one or the other. Yes, a laundry bill for 0.7 (70 cents/25Bht) to wash a t-shirt is more than what you would pay at a self-serve laundromat, but the service is also different, as we would use our staff to have it dried and ironed as well as having it sent to your room. We have many dinner options starting from around 7 but I am not sure what you ate and drank. However, 21 for dinner doesn't sound too unreasonable for a meal. A 'Classic Big Mac Pack' at McDonald's in Memphis would set you back 23.79. It is all a matter of perspectives. The Legend team and I would like to thank you for your feedback.Best regards, Eric

What a gem! We fell in love with this special place - a gorgeous view of the river, surrounded by trees and sounds of nature. The rooms were beautiful. We were so touched by the welcome fruit and the care of the staff. So many dining options at this place - whoever is in the kitchen is crafting very delicious dishes, we were so impressed by the cooking. This was our favorite hotel and we will definitely be returning.

El lugar es muy lindo, la vista junto al río es hermosa. Es un hotel ya algo viejito pero muy limpio. Todo el staff fue muy amable y el gerente Éric, siempre al pendiente. La regadera de nuestro cuarto era GIGANTE, no sabemos para que jajaja pero fue interesante. El lugar es tranquilo y está cercano de puntos céntricos de la ciudad.

Accessibility to river, it is lovely for those that seek quietness and tranquillity. Lots of mosquitoes around but the hotel provides repellents for comfort of guests. The facility is a little worn out but kept in good shape.

Property is a bit run down, but staff and service is excellent. Pool is fine. Had a problem with our door access due to a battery fail - this was sorted. Stayed two nights, quiet.
