About this property

Cozy 1920s Cottage Nestled in Trendy Northshore Chattanooga ~ Firepit & Hot Tub

  • Resort like home in heart of North Chattanooga!
Perfect for family gatherings. Enjoy a resort style stay in this charming, yet spacious 2,000 square foot two story historic home in the heart of the trendy and walkable North Chattanooga neighborhood. With all the amenities of the house you may not want to leave, but if you do Frazier Ave coffee shops/restaurants and the Walnut Street walking bridge are 8 city blocks away.
Built in 1920, Colville Cottage maintains its original charm but has recently undergone a major renovation to include a large updated kitchen. A recently constructed huge deck with large gas firepit is perched high above the street and affords pleasant views of the surrounding hilly and unique neighborhood. Sleeps 9.
After you walk back from dinner on Frazier Avenue, you and your family can kick back in an Adirondack chair and sip wine, warming yourself by the gas firepit. If you all prefer the warm glow and the crackle of a wood fire, there is a second firepit on the brick patio below. Retire to the jacuzzi to relax those joints after a long day of sightseeing. Finish the evening with your family, gathered around the living room gas fireplace, and watch a movie on a 55 inch 4K large screen TV. Sleep comfortably in one of four bedrooms, all with queen beds. two bedrooms have TVs as well.. Wake up late the next morning to enjoy coffee in the well lit, cozy sunroom.
You'll have whole property to yourself with full access to house, including laundry located in the basement. Although we want folks to enjoy the property, we are not set up for parties or social gatherings involving outside guests not staying overnight. The neighborhood is quiet, houses are close together and there is a noise curfew on back deck of 10 pm weekdays and 11 pm weekend nights that is strictly enforced out of respect for neighbors.

Charming and quiet North Chattanooga is an historic neighborhood dotted with 1920s bungalows, front porches, and mature oak trees, but it is walking distance to the vibrant North Shore district coffee shops, restaurants, and retail shops. Aretha Frankensteins is 2 blocks away for great breakfast. Walk 7 blocks to drink some coffee at Stone Cup Coffee or enjoy a German beer and pretzel at Brewhaus. Walk a little over a mile, across the historic Walnut Street walking bridge, straddling the Tennessee River, to the Bluff View Art district, with the renowned Hunter Museum, cozy Rembrant Coffee House, or the Whiskey Thief bar atop the newly completed Edwin Hotel. Or take the kids to the Tennessee State Aquarium just over a mile from Colville Cottage.
can walk to north shore restaurant and shopping district -.7 miles. but driving is easier. $5 Uber ride to aquarium.
