Not for elderly or handicapped! I have very mixed feelings about this place. It was clean and nice on the inside. The "driveway" that you're supposed to park in is a broken concrete pad in the front yard. Very difficult for my elderly mom to maneuver with her walker. With the house being 2-story, I made sure that there was a bedroom and bathroom for my mom to use on the main floor. The problem is that the bed is VERY tall...too high off the ground for my mom!!!She literally had to "sleep" on the couch the first night. I felt so bad for her... she's almost 87 and handicapped. We ended up getting a step stool for her to use to access the bed, but that was terrifying for both of us!! Other than that the house really was fine. It was clean and spacious. It would be great for a big group. It had a nice big backyard. Didn't seem like the greatest area of town, but I think that's common in the area near downtown. My one main complaint for myself is that first step on the staircase. It is horrible! I tripped almost every time either going up or down since it is not even close to the same size as the other steps. Such a safety hazard.I actually hurt my knee, unfortunately, and it still hurts a week later. But other than that, the place was nice. And the host company were responsive.
