Beautiful & Rare Mountain Views! From a 2 bedroom home overlooking the city of Chattanooga. Nestled in historic Missionary Ridge, this cozy home was designed with relaxation in mind. The home features a main bedroom loft, an additional bedroom, and double balconies for the perfect view. The home is in a central location that is minutes from downtown, Coolidge Park, The Aquarium, Rock City, Ruby Falls, hiking trails, gas stations, malls, grocery stores, Wal-Mart, restaurants, and the interstate.
The space
This home is set up to host 8 guest comfortably. We do allow our guest to bring more people to stay. You will have to provide extra sleeping arrangements such as air mattress, pillow, sheets, towels.

Chattanooga view

Overall - OK. Views were great, beds were comfortable, living room and kitchen on mid-level floor were roomy and functional. Curb appeal of unit was poor as kudzu views were growing up the side of the adjacent unit. While the inside was basically clean, several items needed repair: receptacles in lower bedroom vanity didn't work, light in washer/dryer closet didn't work, light in hood vent in kitchen didn't work, kitchen sink faucet didn't work properly, freezer had one plastic ice tray that was cracked and leaked when you put in water, both decks needed deck furniture, neither bedroom had a dresser, and both decks had an occasional screw/nail extruding risking possible injury if walking in bare feet. Communications with the host was good. while a good location for a valley/lookout mountain view, the maintenance items prevented a 4/5 star rating.

Look at Other Options

The photos are mostly accurate, but they don't tell the whole story, as this place was not at all as expected. We left immediately. The outside was completely run down and felt unsafe. Don't be fooled about the view. It's nothing I would advertise. Inside, the air was thick and musty. In the lower area, the floor has water rot under the carpet. A closet door fell down off the hinges when I tried to open it. You can see at both sliding doors that water comes in. I wouldn't trust sitting or sleeping on any of the furniture. The entrance door, off of the kitchen, has a battery operated lock. The battery cover is missing, so if you happen to slam the door, the batteries can fall out (not safe). When we arrived, the code we were given did not work. We had to call the management to get another code. Who else knows this code (not safe). Small driveway with a fallen down chain link fence overgrown with weeds and a sign saying "security camera in use". We didn't feel at all safe parking there either. Once we alerted management to all of this and said we weren't staying, they said they would refund 4 of the 5 days we paid for. After going back and forth on this for a week, they ended up only refunding about 2 days and told us to go to Vrbo to get anything more. They have gone silent now that we have asked them to honor the original offer to refund 4 days. After this experience, we will have a new approach to how we use Vrbo, if we even use them again.
