"Frank at the pool bar was the best bartender ever"

"The older reviews were scary, but this place has been remodeled. Beds are comfy, as are pillows. Breakfast had a good selection. The pool is decent w a few towels available. The “spa” isn’t a hot tub. The shower has some mold - pink and black, but better than you’d expect at this price. Front desk staff was great. Doors do open to the outside but I felt safe. Lots of highway noise, if you’re a light sleeper. Recliner in room. I’d stay again. "

"Very clean room, great a/c, hot shower with good pressure, microwave, fridge, and hair dryer in room, soap and shampoo dispensers were full, didn’t see a single bug which is rare in any FL hotel. Staff is very friendly and nice. Bed was comfortable. Close to PGD but schedule your Uber/Lyft ahead of time because I found them to be very scarce in the area. I would definitely stay again if I’m in the area. A great room if you don’t need anything fancy."

"Very disappointing. First of all, not the house I thought I was renting. Didn't realize until I paid it was 32/ day to heat the pool and told it must be all or nothing ie 3 weeks or not at all. This was the most poorly stocked kitchen we've ever experienced and have rented extensively although never through this vendor. It appeared to be a collection of tools no one wanted any long rather than what may actually be needed. One dull paring knife and one dull larger knife. We had to purchase knives. The icemaker quit week 3.The coffee pot was missing a part and therefore could not be used (pod portion). No cleaning supplies available. NOT ONE MANUEL IN THIS HOUSE TO INSTRUCT ON HOW ANYTHING WORKED including the roku tv. Toilet backed up and had to be removed to remove tree roots. This was not a new problem obviously. The tub wouldn't drain and had to be treated. Never did use the pool. Couldn't use the garage although it was empty. We are a senior couple who are respectful of others property and follow the rules; however, we didn't feel the owner(s) respected their guests. It took us two days to figure out the thermostat and turn off the air. Never did figure out the TV, couldn't watch the Superbowl and had 10 hours a day of the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders on! I got sick week 2 and spent the rest of this 'vacation' in bed or on the couch. It was, altogether, the worst experience we've had renting a home. "

"Eight Palms is a beautiful home in a great location. Impeccably clean, stocked with almost anything you would need, close to restaurants, shops, and recreation. Hosts are very responsive and so easy to communicate with. We hope to stay here again! "

"Beautiful home! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very clean, well maintained property that included everything we needed for our two week stay. The outside pool and lanai area with the gas fire pit was our go to place every evening. Location of the house was close to shopping and many restaurants. Highly recommend this property if you’re looking in Punta Gorda!"

"The house needs some TLC as there were issues with the pool, electrical, dryer, guest shower which were hard to ignore with a month long rental. Overpriced for the age of the house."
