Great location and within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The house was clean and provided everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again.
This home and location were perfect. Close to shopping, restaurants, and sports bars. Our group of 4 had plenty of space. The kitchen was well appointed too. We especially liked the personal touches from the owner - thanks so much for the wine. Highly recommend!!
Stayed in the house for a family wedding weekend. the house was perfect for us and is in a great location to walk to great restaurants and bars. If we ever get back to Charleston, will definitely stay in the house again. Thank you for providing such a clean and comfortable house.
We all had a great time in Charleston. The house was wonderful. Was close to everything you visited all Sumter downtown Charleston SS Yorktown Folly Beach Sullivan Island was great and the house was wonderful. Couldn’t ask for anything
We enjoyed staying at her home. The location was within walking distance of nice bars and restaurants which was amazing. Her home was clean and she provided a book with recommendations on what to do/where to go in Charleston. The location was also super close to downtown Charleston which helped with shorter Uber rides. My friends, husband and I all had a blast and enjoyed staying at her home, if we are in Charleston again we will definitely rebook. Thank you! :)
We planned a last minute getaway in attempt to outrun Hurricane Debbie as it made its way towards our home in Florida. We spent our first2 days exploring around Charleston. The home was perfectly located near shops and restaurants in Avondale, a short drive to downtown. Hurricane Debbie followed us up the coast so we were rained out of exploring and spent the rest of our trip together in the house. It was perfectly stocked for cooking yummy meals, board games for playing and spending time together. It was just what we needed. Bedrooms were cozy and comfortable, affording privacy for our adult kids. The bathrooms were stocked with plenty of toiletries and robes. The kitchen had local snacks, teas and coffees for us to enjoy. Our pups enjoyed lounging around and the spacious fenced in back yard. Thank you for hosting! We hope to be back soon!
First the positive, the beds were really comfortable. The house was really clean. The host responded quickly to our concerns. The location is great, multiple restaurants within walking distance.
If you are a cook and you want to cook while you’re there, you will be very disappointed in the kitchen. It is large., There’s a nice dining area. But the kitchen is poorly stocked, and the stoves digital thermometer is broken. We found out this the hard way by trying to bake potatoes, we contacted the owner and they apparently had no idea that this was a problem. Of course they were not able to fix it at the time.
The back patio/deck is a hazard. Wood boards are rotting, nails are sticking up. There is no table as shown in the pictures. They apparently knew about it, but didn’t let us know. This needs to be fixed before anyone comes to that house to stay.
Because of these issues, I would not recommend this home.
We loved our stay at this house! It was just as advertised, fully stocked with all the basic essentials, and the decor was adorable! Easy check in and check out. We hosted a bridesmaids brunch in the backyard for my daughter and her bridesmaids- the newly added deck was so nice and the trees gave us much needed shade. The kitchen had everything we needed, even spices, trash bags, and serving pieces. Comfortable beds, quiet neighborhood, plenty of parking space.
We had a great family trip to Charleston! The house was in a good location and it was easy to get to all of our activities. It was a wonderful place to come back to and relax after a long day:) We will definitely be back!
We needed a place in Charleston to visit our local family that gave us the flexibility of cooking and bringing our furry family members. It was a beautifully furnished, well located home with a fully stocked kitchen to cook in, ample seating and a lovely back yard. Excellent location near shopping and restaurants.
We enjoyed our stay at 105 Hickory Street. The home was located within walking distance to a wine bar, brewery and restaurants. We were pleased with the condition of the home and information provided by the owner of places to visit in Charleston. Would recommend this property for anyone wanting to visit Charleston.
This property was well kept, clean and tidy. The front porch was a great place just to relax, read or visit with friends. Great restaurants within walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All five adults were very happy with the property and would definitely encourage others to book there.
We had to book this house the night before we flew into Charleston as our previous home canceled on us last minute. What a pleasant surprise this house was. Lots of comfortable spaces for people to hang out and socialize. Plenty of beds and bathrooms for everyone. There is a super cute market at the front of the community. Dog friendly, younger crowd with kids in the area. Quiet at night, not noisey, no road traffic or anything that would keep you up at night. The location was perfect. Close to Park Circle, which had a bunch if little restaurants and places to hang out. It was also a straight shot into downtown Charleston, no bridges required. I could go on and on about thishouse and location. We would definitely stay here again.
Wonderful stay in this quaint West Ashley house located close to everything. House was clean and well supplied as promised. Really enjoyed all the "extra touches". Overall, this house can't be beat for a Charleston family vaction. We'll be back next year!
We had such a great stay. The location was so convenient. We could walk to restaurants, coffee shops and breweries. Driving downtown was quick and easy (15 minutes). We even got in a beach day making it to Folly Beach in just 30 minutes. The property was clean and nicely renovated. We loved the wood floors and comfortable beds. The house comfortably sleeps 6 but with an air mattress and couch our kids were able to squeeze in rounding out a 9 person stay.
