My wife and I went to Charleston for a long weekend looking for some relaxing time
Cottage sits at a great spot close enough to King Street and yet far enough to be away from all the noise especially on the weekends
Having parking in front of the cottage was a plus
The cottage was clean, nice and cozy
My husband, dog and I had a wonderful stay here. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The location was good for us and what we wanted to do, with parking. The area was a little noisy over the weekend but not too bad. We had read other reviews of the area before we rented and honestly expected it to be much worse. We would absolutely stay here again.
The cottage was delightful. It served its purpose of being close to King St, and walking distance to lots of Charlestons attractions. It was clean, well appointed, and comfortable. The management team was responsive throughout the check in/out process. Reasoning for 2 stars on accuracy of the listing is due to the construction that is not “nearby”, it’s directly next to the property, which led to disturbances. The management team was extremely understanding of the distruption to our trip. I would completely stay at at this property again, but only after the project behind it is finished. Again, the cottage was lovely, the extremely loud construction, not so much.
As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by the most wonderful feeling — a pleasing aroma that made the cottage feel instantly welcoming and cared for. Such a quaint space, and we had everything we needed. The location was perfect: very close to King Street, in the northern part of Charleston, yet still walkable to so much. The French Quarter was a bit of a hike, but with gorgeous fall weather, it was a joy to explore. The host was incredibly responsive and kind. We had mentioned we’d be arriving a little before check-in, and he was so accommodating — we were able to get in early, which made our arrival smooth and stress-free. Truly a memorable stay!
First, we were traveling with an infant and showing up early and the host allowed us to check in 4 hours early, which helped us out sooo much! We even offered to pay extra and they refused. The house itself was super clean, AC was a big relief from the July weather, and the location was ideal for exploring King street and the nearby restaurants. There is a big construction project going on nearby, but the noise was not disruptive and did not negatively impact our experience. Would HIGHLY recommend staying here and we would definitely stay again :)
