Our experience at Hang 6 in Folly Beach was not ideal. The place was just ok. I get it’s an older condo but the smell in the condo was musty and the bedding smelled like it hadn’t been washed in a long time. I ended up washing the sheets before we slept in the bed. The furniture had that musty smell as well. I bought spray to spray through the unit but the smell came back.The people renting above us did not abide by the 9:00 noise ordinance and we had to get your team involved twice before we called the police to complain around 1 AM. I truly wanted to leave but was told I couldn’t get a refund.The second night wasn’t as bad but anyone staying in this condo will hear people above them if there are renters. We literally thought there was a radio alarm clock that went off in the unit when the people above put on their music. It sounded like it was in our unit!The place was run down and clearly very thin walls and ceilings. I wasn’t comfortable sitting on the furniture and it just made the experience not great. Also, we were told our water was being shut off today from 11-2. Thankfully the rain stopped so we could go out during this time. We ended our vacation a day early.I would not recommend this unit to anyone I know. I feel strongly that we should receive some sort of compensation back for the noise and the inconvenience of not having water for a period of time.
