The farm property includes a huge pond for swimming and is adjacent to a 3000-acre state forest with the most incredible hiking trails. Rent this incredibly lovely one-room plus one bathroom bunkhouse that is situated right next to the historic barn. The bunkhouse has been newly redone with a fully equipped kitchen and lovely bath. The pull-out sofa-bed sleeps two and the futon sleeps two very comfortably as you enjoy a relaxing night on this quiet farm.

We do not interact with the guests unless they need us, especially if they prefer to have privacy.
This farm is nestled in the Laurel Mountains and is surrounded by so many wonderful things to do. This area is a major tourist attraction but the cabin is very quiet and private.
You do need a car to get around in this area as there is no good public transportation.
Directions: Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike to the Donegal/Ligonier exit. Turn left as you come off of the exit onto route 31. Stay on Route 31 for 3 miles and turn right onto Roaring Run Road (immediately past the VFW sign on your left). The farm is on your left as you come down the hill on Roaring Run. Tall pine trees line the driveway to the bunkhouse, farmhouse and springhouse.
The bunkhouse is to the right of the driveway next to the barn.
Parking: Please park on the gravel areas only and pull to the left to avoid blocking other vehicles.
I often turn my phone on silent after 9:00 PM but if you need urgent assistance, our farm manager lives across the road in the white house and can be reached sometimes at (814) 521-5404
This is nestled in a quite neighborhood backed up against a 52-acre historic landmark organic farm. There is very little traffic and none of the usual tourist commotion for the area.
There is plenty of parking spaces next to the bunkhouse, as well as next to the barn. Please avoid driving on the grass.

Everything about the area and the property was awesome! Host was very accommodating. Definitely happy with the small little bunkhouse for a 2 night stay
Nicely remodeled and rustic decor. Not a hotel room or a cabin, but a fun private place to bunk down for a couple days. The facility was exactly as advertised. Owner was accommodating and pleasant. Surrounding farm was pleasing to walk around. Stayed for easy drives to three area ski resorts and would return.
We were impressed with this refurbished chicken coup! A fun place to stay in- like a tiny house! Very clean and all our needs were met! We hiked the grounds and found the hidden pond! We visited Frank Lloyd Wright’s Falling Waters-
The cabin is in a very quiet, pretty, and peaceful location less than 15 minutes from seven springs. Overall the cabin worked great for a quiet ski weekend. Would definitely suggest bringing your own blankets and sheets, the house is drafty, there were few blankets and only sheets for the mattress itself.
This bunkhouse was just what we needed for one night. It's a well-planned little space comparable to a hotel room, but with a larger kitchen space. The quietness of the farm made for a good night's sleep. We were close enough to pop over to Falling Water the next morning before continuing our journey.
Campus was pretty, location is close to lots of things to do outdoors. Needs better cleaning. Floors had debris, toilet had haircuttings? Definitely needed a once over before guests arrived.
Positives
Very clean upon arrival, very well laid out with comfortable furniture. Unique interior trim work of recycled barn siding. All necessary small appliances cleaned and in working order.
One thing to improve would be to place the microwave on the counter top. Too high on refrigerator.
I would recommend it !
I stayed in the bunkhouse for three nights by myself (needed a break from work, husband and two crazy dogs) and had a wonderful time doing pretty much nothing but hiking, reading, eating and napping. The bunkhouse had everything I needed and was cozy and welcoming. The grounds are beautiful and well kept and the host responded pretty much immediately when I emailed her about the pond. (I couldn’t find it.) She called me and explained how to get there—a lovely hike through a field of wildflower (but with a mowed trail). The pond was a hidden gem. All in all, a very very peaceful time.
First off, the setting and land is gorgeous! My wife and I have 8 children and we both work full time careers, our youngest child is 14 months! We needed a night together extremely bad, with our schedule of work and kid’s activities! We only get to cook dinner together then go to bed together pretty much every night so I was looking for a place that we could go to, and not have to drive anywhere else, secluded and quiet! Well this place is a gem!! Hands down! Not only is the area perfect, but on grounds ther are hikes beautiful, scenery a very nice hike to a pond/ creek! And the BEST PART IS they have a organic wine/ restaurant! In the historic barn! The wine was amazing, they only serve charcuterie boards and homemade pizza! Well it HIT THE SPOT! My wife and I have been to just about ever place within a 2 hr drive of Pittsburgh, looking for what we could cal “our spot” and we have decided we have found it! We will be returning!! if your looking to reconnect with anyone in your family you found it! Bring some food/ drinks and you will not need to go anywhere else just unplug and enjoy yourself! I would really like to thank the staff at the winery/ restaurant for the amazing experience! We look forward to returning in July for my wife’s birthday!!!
The cabin is clean and just as described. Just big enough for a family of 4 with 2 small kids for a quick trip. Plenty of space to roam and play. Close to other area attractions. Thanks for a nice last minute stay!
Cute little place to stay on a picturesque farm. The bunkhouse was just right for us. We enjoyed walking around the beautiful grounds and highly recommend checking out the pond and hiking on the trails in the natural area next door. Everything was nicer than expected, we would definitely stay here again.
This little rental was perfect for me and my daughter.
This little rental was perfect for me and my adult daughter to visit the local hiking trails for some winter fun.
The rental was clean and warms up nice. And you cant beat the price. Close to everything.
Definitely stay again.
