"Wir wurden nicht in der gebuchten Unterkunft untergebracht, aus welchem Grund wurde uns nicht mitgeteilt, nur dass wir ein größeres Haus ohne Aufschlag bekommen. Nach 13 Stunden Anreise war mir das egal, dazu haben wir eh nur ein Bett zum schlafen gebraucht, da wir jeden Tag beim 24h Rennen in Le Mans waren. "My wife has a challenge with her back. As a result we always make some requests regarding the room to ensure the issue is not made worse and also to assist the hotel in the case of an emergency Over the last year we have stayed in a about 30 hotels and not a single hotel has made an effort to satisfy these requests. However, the Hotel des Ducs surpassed themselves and provided exactly what we asked for, and it was all set up when we arrived . Our thanks to the team. The hotel is now a must have stop through France. "

"A total revamp of an old Campanile room. Very smart and comfortable. Had wster heater although I think that a kettle would have been more practical. It had a shower over a high sided bath but a walk in shower would have been more accessible. Lovely large king size bed. Restaurant available for guests even on a Sunday evening. Easy parking infront of your room. No upstairs so eady access for all. No noise from upstairs too! Eady access motorway. Quiet industrial estate location. Friendly staff and welcoming. Would certainly recommend and stay again. Thankyou. "

Au fer à cheval

"Our host at Au Fer à Cheval was Romain, a friendly and helpful man. He owns about 20 English thoroughbred race horses, as well as breeds them. His farm is in a beautiful location with lovely views. It was unfortunately cold and wet for the two nights that we were there, so we couldn't use the pool, and the roads were too slippery for him to take us out in his horse-drawn carriage, but we did see two of his retired racing mares with their foals. Our room was comfortable and clean, good shower, and a small kitchenette. It's a good idea to take your own tea, coffee and milk with you. Continental breakfast was good and delivered to our room at the time we requested. A good guide book in English of what to do in the area was left in our room, but perhaps the only disadvantage of the place is that it is quite isolated and a long way from any any restaurants. Overall, a lovely place, and we'd recommended it."

"A very pleasant stay at Gite du Jouteau with our family of eleven, our ages ranged from 9 to 76. Surprisingly the indoor pool was a bonus with temps in the mid 30s during our stay allowing us to cool off easily. Very quiet area and a relaxing stay in the Sarthe region of France."

"What a wonderful holiday we had at this location, i would highly recommended staying here.The owners were very friendly and helpful.The house was just amazing and the huge indoor pool and jacuzzi were absolutely perfect, we spent most of our days in there.We will definitely be returning here!"
