We got there. It took like 30 mins between finding someone and actually checkin in. Which i already paid online and all that. We went to the room, tv didnt work. Bathtub was weird and didnt have a plug. It also looked like there was something rubbed gross rubbed on the wall. Also the lawn company showed up at 730am on a Saturday. Super annoying. Also the pool wasnt working but looked huge. Not like crazy bad things but just alot of annoying lil things that could of not happened

Our school group has used this hotel for several years for an event held at the college. This was my 3rd year staying here, and will be the last time our school stays here! The hotel has deteriorated. Our group reserved over 20 hotel rooms. Over half of us needed room changes due to the following: strong room odors of weed/smoking, red/brown stains on the floors, and a large number were given rooms that were already being used by other guests! Completely unacceptable and scary! It had us questioning the security of this facility. After the changes, many were left with rooms that didn’t have enough beds for their family. We normally reserve a meeting room for our group dinner. This year staff said there would be no A/c and it would cost $500 to use the room! The pool was closed “for refurbishing” - no visible construction and the pool looked in bad shape. The parking lot had a mountain of trash bags. Breakfast was inedible. Some of the other hotel guests had visitors come and go from their rooms all night and were actively smoking. There were random people in the parking lot hanging out in their cars. There was no staff at check out - only a handwritten sign to leave room keys on the counter - unprofessional and not secure! For the price we paid, there is nothing redeeming about this hotel. It felt unsafe, dingy, old and completely overpriced. Book another hotel. Stay away!

This is the third year we’ve stayed here for events at the college and will be the last. Everything that could be stained, worn or sticky managed to be.

Not a hotel I would stay at again. It was an older hotel and they tried to update it but not successful. The room had bad lighting and had a weird smell. The hallways smelled of cigarette and pot smoke. The pool was not open and we were looking forward to swimming. Breakfast was ok, probably the best part of our stay. The rooms were clean. I found the hotel to be kind of creepy.

My room was dirty when I arrived. The sheets were arranged as if they put new sheets on but the sheets were dirty and pillowcases had makeup on them. The floors never got vacuumed & the tables were not wiped down. I went to the lobby and asked to get the sheets changed as I couldn't call them. They said it would be done soon. I went out for 3 hrs or so and came back and they still hadnt changed them. I went down againand sked to have them changed and they said someone would be there immediately, they never arrived even after 30 min when I left. The breakfast isn't anything great. I stayed there before and it was much better. For it being Mom's weeekend, I was very disappointed.

This place could be no worse than the worst hotel. You’ve ever stayed in in your life. It smelled, outdated, felt like I was in the ghetto, and was scared to say there a second night. I would never go back to this place again or want anybody I know to go there.

The room is very dated. The furniture is run down. The beds were unstable. The bathroom floor was sticky. The carpet was stained. There was pink liquid sticky spill on wall and dripped into Kleenex box that dirtied the tissue. They only had two supper thin towels. The room was not picked up the next day. Had to take my trash down the hall and had to call for towels. The tub was slippery. I would not stay again.

They took and kept a photo copy of my drivers license. The carpet in the room had red (Gatorade?) stains throughout. The phone did not work, the TV did not work. Toilet not cleaned, covered with urine spots. The final straw was when I saw the bugs scurrying in the bathroom at night. I took the photo to the front desk and told of my other issues. They room changed me and since it took 30 minutes they were either looking for a clean room or cleaned the suite they moved me to. They apologized and I was able to sleep in the new room. While I often don't leave a review, I really have to let people know. The lack of cleaniness and bugs are unacceptable. Rates are outrageous in Champaign during UIUC events. The least they can do is provide a clean room.

I have stayed here a few times over the years when I have to be in Champaign-Urbana, it is close to the highway, the University, and Carle Hospital. That is all that is good about it. This hotel has declined seriously since OYO acquired it. First, they leave the desk unmanned at check-in time. It's not a good sign to pull into the parking lot and there are 6 people milling about and a sign at the desk saying "Back in 15 minutes." The people already there had various waiting times between 10 and 60 minutes. One man wandered around the grounds and found one cleaner that had no idea who to call about the empty desk. Don't bother calling the number listed on any travel site, it will route you to India where you will get hounded about your confirmation number instead of anyone wanting to discuss why the hotel is empty. I only kept the reservation for 1 night because of a relative having emergency surgery at Carle. I wish I had not. The grounds are full of trash, broken glass, a fallen parking lot light pole, cigarette butts, and dog feces. What was once a dining room is stuffed with boxes and junk. A mattress was sitting in the parking lot over night in the rain. The grounds reek of marijuana. The grouting in the shower was moldy, the sink leaked, the AC hardly worked, the screen door had tears, and the parking lot was better lit by the Motel 6 across the street. Charging $120 for this is insane. Avoid at all costs.

It wasnt a horrible place to stay, I stayed in worse having to go up north for children's doctors appointments, but the pool was under renovations when we stayed which wasn't a big deal
