"Our stay started off on a bad note with ants amassing in the bathrooms, flushes dripping and underfloor heating not working in the living room. The master bedroom bed was also severely broken and mattress sank in. Communication with the manager was good, he was responsive and tried to help, however due to the holiday season unable to fix more than the bathroom cleanliness and missing toilet paper. "The staff were wonderful and the hotel location is truly superb but for a five star hotel, we felt that this hotel could be maintained better and have a proper 5 star pool in and outdoors. The spa was a let down for a 5 star hotel. If this hotel was a 4 star I think everything would’ve matched better than it being a 5 star hotel."

"Our stay started out with a friendly greeting from the bellmen and the ease of having someone to manage luggage. The lobby is inviting, calm and smells wonderful. The front desk staff is polite, friendly and professional. The room was clean and well appointed with a Nespresso machine in the room, a perk for me for sure! The shower was hot with great water pressure. Very clean and comfortable. The included breakfast is just wonderful. Fresh fruit and vegetables, hot foods like eggs and sausage, an assortment of pastries, cheeses and yogurt and fresh brewed lattes. We had dinner in the rooftop restaurant and both the service and the food were incredible. The view of the Acropolis is beautiful. This hotel is a quite oasis in the heart of a very busy, noisy Athens."

"The hotel is great as a place to stay. However, we booked two rooms - one king bed and one family room. When we arrived they gave us a king room and a separate connecting room with a door between a double room and a twin room. All good - two rooms as booked, one good as a family room. On checkout though they insisted we pay city tax for three rooms, not two, even though Expedia quoted city tax for just two rooms and no-one had told us they would class the booking as three rooms. The woman on the desk was condescending and unhelpful telling us to look at the terms on the website. Our booking is with Expedia and it clearly says two rooms only. So we’re now trying to get our money back. Very poor service."

"The purpose of staying here was to be convenient to the airport. Honestly, I thought it was 10-15 minutes away and it was 30. But the free hourly shuttle was the win. Dinner was good, buffet breakfast offered many options but not as tasty as other places we stayed. Front desk staff were not unfriendly but not friendly either. In general, only our waiter was personable and friendly. Otherwise, this property served a purpose and if you are leaving by ferry, could not be closer."
