"Margarita and her staff went above and beyond the week I stayed there in September of 2025. Though she is a manager, she helped with my luggage upon arrival and departure. She knew I was traveling alone and would be without people I knew for my birthday, and she went out of her way to ensure I had a wonderful birthday and week, with a small present, a chocolate treat and a personalized, colorful birthday note. She also assisted me with small things and it meant the world to me. Her staff also provided world class service, and assisted with the heating instructions, changing the language on the television, helping me unlock the door when my hands were full, extra room cleaning and more. The breakfast buffet is lovely, my room was gorgeous, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the heater was excellent. Tue location is outstanding, the staff is incredible ( especially the manager Margarita, Grace, Angie, Reno, Frank and the entire breakfast / cleaning staff. Thank you, Margarita and Kantu staff for making my birthday week memorable and thanks for your world class hospitality. You all work very hard , take pride in your work and sincerely care about your guests . Thank you."

"The room was clean and well situated. Breakfast was very good quality and the staff was always pleasant and willing to help with any requests. Between my two stays (I was gone 4 days for the Inca Trail), the staff kept my luggage safe on their location and I found it waiting in my room when I returned. Everything was top notch. I was at Tierra Viva 14 years ago when I first went to Peru and it was my first choice returning this year. I do not regret that choice and would make it again in a heartbeat if I returned."

By Marriott in Cusco is a first class hotel with first class service and within walking distance to all of the central Cusco attractions. They also have a baby Alpaca that you can pet each day in the hotel courtyard! 😁
We stayed in room 462 which has a little balcony with outstanding views of the city.
The king bed was so comfortable and the room had a large tv with Spanish and English channels, an in-room safe, small refrigerator, iron, espresso machine and other fabulous amenities. Clean and good AC!
The hotel has an amazing bar an restaurant and the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive and helpful. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, additionally, you could order eggs to your preference (also included). They even placed a birthday cake in our room for my birthday. They will also arrange airport pickup and transfer to the hotel for approx $25.
Just an outstanding hotel in an excellent location with incredible staff.

"This hotel is a little walk to the historical center but not too bad. The altitude is something you need to watch and many people get the headache and low oxygen saturation levels so you need to take it easy Day 1 and let your body acclimate. The staff was extremely kind and professional. I highly recommend this hotel. "
