"The room was very dirty. Walls were covered in questionable dried substances, food or blood or both. The towels were either stained or not washed, as most had a large brownish stains or marks on them. We woke up to a puddle of brown water in the middle of the room from the mini fridge. Vomit in the stairwell from the night before not cleaned up, the hallways were rank with smoke and weed, cigarette burns on the bedding in a non smoking room. The hard flooring squished underneath your feet so I suspect there is water damage and mildew. The room had a very thick snap smell of rotten eggs and mildew or mold. When we left our room in the morning there was a man sleeping in the hallway right outside or doorway that gave us quite a scare. Felt very unsafe. Truly terrible, aside from friendly staff, although they did not ask how our stay was upon checkout, because I’m sure they ready know the answer. "

"No one at checkin for over 20 min. Very dirty, many issues (bulbs out, cleanliness, dirt, dust) etc. would not stay again. "

"We were very pleased with the Bourbon Capital Inn. The owners are working hard to restore the Inn and have done a great job. Our rooms (yes plural) were on the first floor area, so we were able to park in front of our rooms. There is is a "front" porch area (or veranda) that has very comfortable chairs and tables, which we used in the evenings to sit out and enjoy the mild spring weather. Several other travelers were out on the porch which encouraged some friendly conversations. The staff was very pleasant and attentive to our every need. We are definitely coming back!"

"Yikes... Is the best way to describe this motel. It is very run down, dirty and doesn't smell very nice. The parking area is very ruff, full of pot holes and debris. There is a factory behind the motel that has big trucks running in and out of all night, creating a lot of noise. The breakfast was subpar...but I wouldn't have eaten anything in there anyway because of the lack of cleanliness. I booked this thinking it would be okay because all the other motels in the area were booked. I would not stay there again. "
