Wenn man am Wochenende übernachtet, sollte man sich darauf einstellen, dass es auf der Piazza unterhalb des Zimmers sehr laut werden kann und das bis weit in die Nacht. Deswegen auch nur 4 Sterne. "The place is wonderful. What I did not like much is that some of the facilities were not available (hidro massage, gas bbq). The road to get there is also narrow and full of curves, but totally worth it. The family do not speak much in English, but we always could mostly understand each other. The apartment that I got was old fashioned and better than I could expect and with almost everything you might (no salt or oil to cook, but everything else). The view is amazing and the heating elements worked great for the starting cool nights (15 or less). If I can, I would stay again!"

"We read all the reviews before booking but were astonished that the reality far exceeded our high hopes. It was the most beautiful location, the stunning backdrop of the mountains made time in the gardens magical. Communication prior to our trip was extremely quick, helpful and courteous. On arrival we were met by Stefano who checked us into the property, showed us around and made us feel very settled. He was also extremely helpful throughout our stay making himself available to answer many questions and give recommendations for days out. It was a little slice of tranquility that we were sad to leave, and would recommend highly this property for both young and old, being very well equipped for both. 5*"

"This Villa was the perfect escape while also close to some fantastic day trip experiences. I was lucky enough to have a wedding here and also one week stay with family. The hosts, Mirella and Francesco, were exceptional for both our stay and our wedding. The experience was unforgettable, and I cannot thank them enough. Highly recommend this property for both vacation and small events. "

"Loved this villa! It is so spacious with plenty of room for the nine of us who stayed. Everywhere was very clean and well kept. The outside space is delightful with lots of spaces to enjoy and of course the magnificent pool which we all enjoyed very much. We also really appreciated the gifts of wine, cake and pasta/sauce - delicious! There was a list of days for different categories of rubbish to be collected. However, despite putting the refuse out, some was not collected. Maybe the list needs to be updated? We were somewhat disappointed that trains do not seem to run from Piazza al Serchio station, as we had expected from the information given. Instead, all journeys appear to commence with a bus ride to connect to a train elsewhere.However, this couple of niggles did not detract from a fabulous holiday. Thank you for a wonderful stay at an excellent villa."

"Absolutely unique place, which is hard to find anywhere else. It has everything needed for cooking in the kitchen or bbq’ing on the terrace, and the setting within an old castle complex and in the midst of mountainous nature is just awesome. We had a great time here, even though it was unfortunately very short for us. "
