"Despite the booking confirmation saying check-in was open until 1900, we arrived at 1615 only to find it shut until 1800 - duh - nearly every other hotel I've stayed in welcomes guests from 1500 at the earliest...to compound the problem, I received a text from the hotel the evening after we had left telling us what the check-in times were! "2 night stay to explore the area on our way back to the ferry. Too far to walk to restaurants etc. Lots to see and do within easy reach. Hosts very pleasant. Breakfast was good- very French, no cereal or cooked items. "

"Absolutely beautiful property, excellently maintained. We had the Loge du Gardien which was everything we could have hoped for. Photos on Expedia actually don’t give it justice, the house is superb. Our teenagers loved the private hot tub with built in Bluetooth speakers. I would absolutely stay here again. "

"Very quirky property, traditional French style in middle of St Valery with everything this beautiful town has to offer on the doorstep. Public parking available on the road just up from hotel. We stayed in Lawrence of Arabia suite which was interesting. Room to spread out in living area. Breakfasts are fantastic, with lovely fresh produce. Lovely host. "
