「We had a lovely couple of nights stay here for our anniversary. The host was friendly and helpful and there was a peaceful and relaxed atmosphere all around. 「Children loved the river setting and kayaking. Houses were so well equipped. Outdoor seating by the river, maps, books, games and TV Saw kingfishers each day. Super place. Road quite busy, but disturbed our sleep very little. So many positives about the house and area outweighed the road noise.」

「Stunning cottage in the best location. We didn’t have a car so location was key. Within a couple of minutes walk you are in the Chatsworth Estate. The local bus stop is just across the road which is great for using the hop on hop off open top bus in the summer. Also a great Italian restaurant in Baslow. I highly recommend this cottage & will definitely rebook. 」

「Booked to stay for 1 night after a trip to Alton Towers. It's a shame we didn't stay for longer as the kids absolutely loved it - particularly the garden which was packed with things for them to do, including a zip line. Would definitely recommend for families and groups of friends with kids.」

「Lovely, oldie worlded, the staff where friendly and helpful. The room we had was great a bit of space. We would stay again, however we will not dine in for any evening meal, like being back at school, so we only dine in once. Breakfast where fine plenty of choice. Last thing you have to ask them to come into the room to change anything, so tea and coffee etc was not replaced or clean cups or glasses and we where there for 4 nights. Otherwise a lovely stay in Buxton 」
