Beautiful Lower Columbia Hamlet On The Water

Built in 2015, the "lodge" is on the upper floor of beautiful new building. Because it is a second story, prepare yourself to climb a flight of16 steps. The view is worth every step!

Fully furnished with 850 square feet of living space, the lodge has everything you need to be your home away from home. Enjoy sunsets, bird watching and the myriad ships passing up and down the mighty Columbia from your wood deck!

The Lower Columbia River is a nature lover's paradise. Enjoy some of the best fishing, sailing and relaxing in the Pacific Northwest. The "Lodge" is the perfect home base to explore and take it all in.

Fun stay on the slough

Michael’s place was great for our weekend visit to the area. The home was comfortable, clean and well stocked, and worked great for the 3 of us. We enjoyed the peaceful setting next to the water. Michael had great communication. We would stay here again!

Perfect little getaway

We were in town for a 2-day Disc Golf tournament, so not the typical clientele for this on the water fishing destination. However, this spot was perfect my friend and me to rest and recooperate after long days of sports. Clean, accessible, roomy, with a lovely view - it fit our needs perfectly. The nearby town of Cathlamet was small but lively, and it had the basics you could need for a short trip. Would stay again.

Beautiful

The place, the view, and the amenities are all great. The kitchen is well-stocked with cooking gear, the bathroom towels are big and fluffy, and the bed is comfy. Sitting on the upstairs deck is our favorite activity while here. (And visiting with Peekaboo the courtly courthouse cat in Cathlamet is a close second.) Thanks again, Michael. We’ll be back next year.

favorite spot

We have stayed here before. It is perfect when we come to visit family on the island. My old knees may not like the stairs but the rest of me loves the view from the deck. Great sun rises and sun sets overlooking the island.

A quiet getaway

I wanted to find a quiet and calm place for my boys and I to relax and connect during this busy season of life. This place was perfect. It was clean, comfortable, stocked with games. Michael was a great host and very responsive to any needs.

Father/Daughter Trip

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Lodge is a terrific place to come "home" to each day from kayaking and sightseeing. A washer/dryer would have been nice, but otherwise, the place had what we needed and was very comfortable for two people. Michael was very accommodating.

This place was rather adorable! Water right out front. Super relaxing. I wish there WIFI had worked but in the end we had a great time for my husbands birthday and well definitely come back here. We've already recommended this place to others.

Charming!!!

This is a super cute studio style apartment with great views on a very quiet island in the middle of the Columbia River. Check in was a breeze and Michael was very easy to reach. The bed is super comfortable and there is everything you need to have a nice stay! I’ll be back next time I come to that area!!

Great Getaway!

The instructions to enter this wonderful VRBO were easy and it is a great place to go and relax, fish and hang out. The island is a fun place to drive around and there is a nice beach just down the road. I would definitely return and do this again!! The host was always prompt to answer my questions and the place was very clean and accommodating! Thanks SO much Michael!!!

Loved the Island

If you are looking to literally "get away from it all", this is your place to stay. The island is quiet and not busy at all. Very laid back. There is the small town of Cathlamet if you need some supplies or a craft beer. Other than that, we explored the island, watched wildlife and really just relaxed.

Very nice

We had a small hot water problem and manager owner was right on top of it. Came out on a holiday weekend on a Sunday and fixed it. Location was great and very nice. I would recommend this liaction

Perfect place to Relax and Connect

Beautiful venue..the apt. was perfect and comfy. The bed was amazing, the deck and view picturesque. Loved it my hubby and I were able to unplug and relax.

Nice place on the water. My sister and I went to visit family on the island. My brother was able to join us at the last minute. I notified Michael of the additional quest, he said no problem enjoy your stay. Great view of the island with the rental on the second floor. Saw lots of eagles and osprey from the balcony.

Quiet Island Stay

We stayed three nights at this top-floor rental. It met our needs perfectly. Michael is a great Host. We were using it as a base for kayaking in the Columbia River. It's an excellent place for that. We loved the community of Cathlamet, which is just a short drive away. It's a cute town. We also took the ferry across the Columbia that leaves Puget Island every hour. We will be back again.

Wedding weekend

In town for a wedding. Arrived early for extra time to explore. Enjoyed two good meals in town. Shopped at Pacific Island Garrdens which is owned by an old high school friend! Took the ferry, went to the Oregon coast and explored Astoria for the umpteenth time. A great stay with great accommodations. Thanks Michael

Off the beaten path gem

Looking for a place that is a little off the tourist track AND close enough to sightsee? Michael’s house is that. You’ll need a vehicle but the area is unique and you can take cool little ferry to the island if you want, bridge too! The house has a great view of a channel for morning outside breakfast/meals, or just hanging out. Boats floating by each morning was pretty cool. Property is as advertised, no surprises and communication was great. Cathlemet has a few restaurants and a nice little grocery store if you need it. Would stay again
